Too Many Articles

Eh, does anyone else think there are too many images in this article? --gakon5 (talk)

Yes. And why does it say "Mike Vasbinder is very weird looking" at the start of the article? --Ukdan999 15:05, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

I agree. We should remove the pictures, they don't add anything and if people want to see what the game looks like they can click the link to the game page. - Penguin

Warioware

Why aren't the Warioware games on this page?

Makeover

What if we redid this page to look something like List of Final Fantasy titles? It has a lot of games on it, but instead of just listing them all, it puts each game in it's own little template (Template:FFtitlebox). It looks pretty neat; each section has the game's logo, release date, and extra notes (about things like rereleases etc..). More details at my templates page. -- gakon5 (talk)

Well, I'm not getting any responses, so I think I'll go ahead with it. Basically this involves putting each game into a template such as this, which will be moved to List of Mario games/Titlebox. Also, in addition to List of Mario games by System and Release Date, I'll make a Series page, which will be located at List of Mario games/By series; this page will organise the game into various categories. I think I'll start with this page right here, and then move on to the other ones later, although this may take me a while, so I'll slap the Template:Inuse tag on for a start. -- gakon5 (talk)
Interesting idea but there are simply too many Mario series games (106 to be exact) to do so. Giving each game its own template would take up a lot of space. --TBC 22:07, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
A bit late a reply, but yeah you are right; I've realized that. Probably a better idea would be to pull this one:
Game name Release year System
Super Mario Bros. 1985 NES
Super Mario 64 1998 N64
Mario Kart DS 2005 NDS
I'll do that to all three articles... (by year, by system, by genre) Well, maybe tomorow. It's like, 11:30 over here. -- gakon5

Super Mario All-Stars 128?

I've never heard of this "rumored" game. Can somebody provide a source? Jeff Silvers 23:18, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

I've never heard of it either. I think someone just made it up and put it on the page. User:Takuthehedgehog 22:58, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
so I then removed it because I could not find and sources for it. user:mbmariogc3s

Galaxy

I got rid of the Super Mario 128 reference, but I'm not sure about Super Mario Galaxy, as it had been pushed back to within 6 months. This could mean 2006 or 2007, but I would probably expect the latter. Theunknown42 13:45, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Yoshi's Island 2

Does his Baby appearence apply here?

Yes. Why? Even though the bottom clearly states that Yoshi has branched out into his own franchice, that doesent mean that Baby Mario Was not in Yoshi's island 1 & 2, and also Yoshi Touch and Go, The fact that this list has cameo apperences pretty much means that you can add those 3 games, so I'll do it.

Box

I think we need to redo the box on the bottom of each mario page. Here's What I think it should look like:

Main series: Donkey Kong | Mario Bros. | Super Mario Bros. | Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (SMB2J) | Super Mario Bros. 2 | Super Mario Bros. 3 | Super Mario World |Super Mario 64 | Super Mario Sunshine | New Super Mario Bros. | Super Mario Galaxy

Mario Land Series: Super Mario Land | Super Mario Land 2 | Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3

Paper Mario Series: Paper Mario | Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door | Super Paper Mario

Mario RPG Series: Super Mario RPG | Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga | Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

Sports Games/Series: Mario Kart series | Mario Golf series | Mario Tennis series | Mario Superstar Baseball | Super Mario Strikers | Mario Hoops 3-on-3

Mario Party Series: (List Mario Party Games)

Spinoff Series: Wario Series | Yoshi Series

Mario spinoffs: Luigi's Mansion | Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix | Mario Pinball Land | Dr. Mario series | Wrecking Crew | Wrecking Crew '98 | Super Princess Peach

Alternate versions: Super Mario All-Stars | Super Mario Bros. DX | Super Mario Advance | Super Mario Advance 2 | Super Mario Advance 3 Super Mario Advance 4 | Super Mario 64 DS

Other games: Hotel Mario | Mario's FUNdamentals | Mario Is Missing! | Mario Teaches Typing | Mario Teaches Typing 2 | Mario's Time Machine | Super Mario's Wacky Worlds | Super Mario FX | Super Mario 128

Other Notable Games: (Name Things Like Super Smash Bros. And Such Here)

Well, it may be a longer list, but it’s certainly more organized. I mean, a series this big deserves more.

Mario Paint is missing

There is already an article for Mario Paint but the game is not listed in the box with the games in the Mario Series and Spinoffs

Toadette

I think Toadette was introduced in Paper Mario not in Mario Kart: Double Dash

No, Double Dash was released first, that's where her character was introduced.

Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land

Mario appeared in this game at the very end. Why isn't this title part of the list?

the name of the game is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Rlk89 21:38, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3

I don't see this game on the list.
