Formatting chapter list as a table

[edit]

Now that the list is in an article separate from the main article and it's fully vertical, as opposed to the 3-column format previous, I was thinking of formatting the list as a table — example mockup here.

A revolution is upon us! Its fully vertical! Maybe he spoke to Arakawa-san so we can use all those images! 0_0 Just make sure you take off the cover art section to avoid any problems when bringing it to FLC. FMF 02:02, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My comment: The summaries of some volumes need to be expand, while some like volume 1 need to be reduced. I recommend these featured lists to use as examples.--Tintor2 14:28, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

we should use......

[edit]

the american volumes this is the english version of wikipedia right?

then we should put the american tantobooks

yea but just because this is the english version dosn't mean we need to use the english version its only the language and we need to use the originals but if you want to change the pictures go ahead.--Greedisland14 23:42, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Volume 19 has five chapters

[edit]

Even though most of the volumes have four chapters, volume 19 has five:

CONTENTS

第74話 フラスコの中の小人 - 7

第75話 クセルクセス最期の日 - 47

第76話 人の形 石の形 -83

第77話 逆転の錬成陣 - 117

第78話 七つの罪 - 149

Not very many sites have talked about it: http://akoneko.blog.so-net.ne.jp/2008-03-29

I can also scan my book if anyone needs to see it.Grapeofdeath (talk) 04:46, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vol 17 release date?

[edit]

It's not Oct 21st... It's Oct 11th right now, and I picked it up today; it's also in stock on Amazon. 72.226.54.235 (talk) 23:47, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Viz's website gives the release date as October 21. FMA is usually available in stores early for whatever reason. ~SnapperTo 01:29, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

B-Class assessment

[edit]

FYI: I have requested this list be given a B-Class checklist. That should give us an idea of what needs to be worked on.--–m.f (tc) 18:44, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well I see some issues: some summaries are very short and the first one is very long.Tintor2 (talk) 18:45, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The summaries should be consistent in length as much as possible, and preferably a single paragraph rather than multiple paragraphs. Length wise, 300-400 words per volume would probably be ideal. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 18:54, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Updated C class assessment -- I agree with AnmaFinotera's comments. Please clarify "As of September 2008, 34 volumes, equivalent to seventeen, have been released...". G.A.Stalk 08:42, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks G.A.Stalk for the assessment. Now we have something to work towards for the near-term. --–m.f (tc) 10:39, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FL-Class assessment

[edit]

Now that so much has been done to tidy up this list. I think it's close to ready for FL-class assessment. I'll probably request this sometime this coming weekend, unless someone else beats me to it. That will give everyone enough time for last minute items, if applicable. Again, if anybody else wants to go ahead and request the upgrade before this weekend, feel free. Cheers! ---–m.f (tc) 19:46, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have news that could bother the FLC. Volume 21 will be released on December 22. I guess the earlier for the nomination could be the best. Tintor2 (talk) 19:52, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. I say go ahead with it, when you think it's ready. Thanks! ---–m.f (tc) 20:39, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Any problem, just tell me and I ll withdraw. Though I hope there are not.Tintor2 (talk) 20:47, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It passed!!! Congrats everyone!! サラは、私を、私の青覚えている。 Talk Contribs 21:03, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gaiden

[edit]

Should there be an list of Gaidens included, that have not yet been published in tankōbon?

That can be mentioned in the artbook section from the main article.Tintor2 (talk) 20:12, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Xerxes vs. Cselkcess

[edit]

There seems to be a bit of inconsistency in the various volume descriptions with some using one name and some using the other. I know the English manga uses the name Cselkcess, whereas Funimation's English subs for the anime use the other name, Xerxes. There really should only be one name used on the page to avoid confusion, but which one is the best "official" version? 205.213.202.4 (talk) 17:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It seems anons changed the Cselkcess to Xerxes. Since I don't have the Viz volumes (and I don't live in North America) I had no idea which was the Viz term. Since the English manga is the primary media, the official term is Cselkcess . However, if the word Xerxes is used in an episode title from the second anime, it should be left like that in the title. Something like that happened with the word Ishbal/Ishval or Lin Yao/Ling Yao.Tintor2 (talk) 21:01, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
