Character colour tags

It's useful, but it totally spoils who is a cylon and who is not. That would ruin the series to anyone who hasn't watched the later episodes yet. --178.11.166.194 (talk) 12:09, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Character Episode Count

This may be a confusion on my part, but the main wiki page for the re-imagined BSG series states that there have been 75 episodes. Yet, the characters with the greatest episode count all have 77. Can somebody either clarify or correct this?

Reformat

Is it possible to reformat this article so it shows as a table. Character column, then actor column. It would be much easier to read.Paullloydjohnson (talk) 02:44, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Possible but not policy. According to Wikipedia:When to use tables tables should not be used for long or simple lists. I believe these lists qualify as both long and simple (two columns). You might look at how List of minor characters in Battlestar Galactica (re-imagining) is constructed. It is more readable. It is also has perhaps too much information. There should probably be some merging and/or deleting for these pages.Harshael (talk) 23:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I was trying to find Hoshi on the list and found it strange that prominent minor characters like him or "Gunny" Mathias are not listed among the characters while characters that only appeared in a single episode and have no lasting roll (Shavon and Phelan from "Black Market") are included. Citations and sources are needed

Please be sure that all additions to the article are verifiable. Any new items added to the article should have inline citations for each claim made. As a courtesy to editors who may have added claims previously, before Wikipedia citation policy is what it is today, some of the existing unsourced claims have been tagged ^{{{citation needed}}} to allow some time for sources to be added. Merge discussion (2017)

Okay, AfDing the character's article and this list was very much heavy handed but I still maintain my point for doing so which is none of these appear to be encyclopedic to warrant staying

With the exception of the blonde and the Asian Cylon girls, none of the characters are memorable to non-fans which is what Wikipedia is for. Generally, I Oppose per Trekker, but the fact is that there are some articles that probably could use a merge. Louanne Katraine, Anastasia Dualla, Tory Foster and Billy Keikeya have debatable notability. If their articles had fancruft removed, they'd likely just be stubs and could be removed, but I don't really mind either way. I would argue that Sherman Cottle, Margaret Edmondson, Elosha, Aaron Kelly (Battlestar Galactica), Romo Lampkin and Alex Quartararo are not notable enough and should be merged. I would also argue that having three articles for Cylon is overkill. These could probably stand to be one article, with sections for the 1978 series and the reimagining. However, the term Cylon is most likely the most notable character or term arising from the shows, and the idea that there be no Cylon article on Wikipedia is absurd. • Comment this is a very confusing nomination. Why haven't you listed the articles you want merged together, so we can actually see what has been nominated? • Comment I would in general support mergers for all but the most notable characters (I think a good rule of thumb might be the 10 or so that are listed in the main credits); but for us to have any substantive discussion here, the characters being considered should be listed here. • Oppose and Keep, the characters, major and minor, seem to be notable per the series. Wikipedia character pages often exceed the limit that some editors are comfortable with, but readers looking up the pages are likely to be glad to find so much information and encyclopedic data. Groups

While it makes sense to split the Original Series characters into Galactica, Cylons and other "places", it is hardly sensible to split the new series characters into main characters, Pegasus, other and Cylons, as if only humans on Galactica could be main characters. The cylon section as such should obviously be a subsection as the Magnificent Seven and Foolish Five only exist on the new series. But actually the section should be dissolved entirely as people like Galen Tyrol and, for better or worse, even Saul Tigh are main characters. Str1977 ^(talk) 21:20, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Missing characters

Lots of characters seem to be missing from the reimagined series, like Helo (Karl Agathon), Felix Gaeta, Dualla, Billy, and Cally. These are all important characters who are much more important than some of those already listed. Not sure if they are main (starring) cast or guests. Kidburla (talk) 19:22, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
