Caught from Behind 7
[edit]The actress/porn star on the box cover for Caught from Behind 7 is not Lisa DeLeeuw. One clue; pictured woman is not a redhead.-WCFrancis 05:17, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
- mmh , maybe you are right .. ???!!!!

- Anyone here who knows the real name of this beauty ?

- 'Be aware that some erotica publishers will sometimes put pictures on tape/dvd packaging of actresses not actually in the film. I don't recognize this babe, but will see what I can find. I have also been trying to find a picture of Lisa that will be fair use. I do have some film captures already. -WCFrancis 20:25, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
- This may be Ginger Lynn, but I can't tell for sure whether it's her or just another star trying for a similar look.-WCFrancis 00:48, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
- Of those credited most likely would be Chanel Price but still I can't tell for sure from photos. -WCFrancis 03:21, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
- It is definitely Penny Morgan, before she had a nose job and changed her pseudonym to Rachel Ryan.

- Hi , I believe that blondie is Lisa , because she is the star of that movie and it´s her first anal as the cover promotes. But you have found two more typical pics of her. Nice :-)
btw. here´s another pretty "red" chameleon [5] , currently performing as Peach :-) . Greetings MutterErde 10:12, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
- I've been a fan of Lisa DeLeeuw for about 25 years. The woman on the box cover is definitely not her. Her breasts were larger, she was heavier (varying through her career but never a slender as the box model) and she had freckles, all over. I am not aware of her doing any film as anything but a redhead (she was natural redhead). Box is deceitful in implying that that is Lisa with the copy right next to her, but don't let that fool you. -WCFrancis 22:39, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
- OK , yoú have convinced me. It´s the missing freckles , long before photoshop was invented. Thank you for your informations (and your memories. Lisa would be glad , I think :-)).
- Would you start The Golden Age of Porn ? My english is not good enough.

HIV status
[edit]It has been suggested that the subject of this article is eligible for inclusion in the list of HIV-positive people. If you know of any reliable source that helps to clarify this person's HIV status then please mention it on the list's talk page. Trezatium 19:13, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Her official site for one. There is probably AVN articles on the web. Do a simple websearch for her name & HIV & you'll get your answer.--Hndsmepete 23:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
The Lisadeleeuw.com site is not her official site. It's a commercial site that uses her name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AjaxMountain (talk • contribs) 16:01, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Removal of Filmography
[edit]Why was Filmography heading left hanging with nothing under it but a note to look elsewhere? That looks wrong, and made me think the article had been vandalized when I first saw it.
No pictures
[edit]There are no pictures because, after 21 months on wikipedia, a video box cover and a clean (G-rating would not be challenged by a reasonable person) screen cap of Ms. De Leeuw (fully dressed portrait) were considered not to meet "Fair Use" Criteria of copyright law. I hope the same criteria are being applied to the rest of Wikipedia, since there are many similar image usages. I would hate to think that erotica entries are being deliberately targeted. 13:48, 30 July 2007 (UTC) wcf Facts are stubborn. Comments?
Swedish or Dutch?
[edit]Well it looked like she appeared in a number of Swedish movies, but De Leeuw is a very dutch surname, can anyone clarify this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.211.132.72 (talk) 23:13:07, August 19, 2007 (UTC)
- Are you referring to Swedish Erotica? I don't know if she was dutch or swedish, but I do know that just about every 1980's porn star did a scene for Swedish Erotica.--Hndsmepete 17:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- She was not of Swedish or Dutch descent, though she did claim in interviews that her surname was dutch (and translated as "The Lion"). Her birth name was Lisa Trego. I believe her parents were of Italian descent, though am not completely sure.Posthocergopropterhoc (talk) 01:05, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Partial filmography (redux)
[edit]The "partial" filmography has been removed and restored at least 3 times. The Porn Project guideline of picking the highlights sounds like a reasonable compromise. The current list of over 70 films is clearly excessive and it obscures Lisa's notablilty. Can't we trim this list down? • Gene93k 14:54, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Really dead?
[edit]Okay, the reports of her death due to HIV/AIDS seem to have simply been accepted due to being mentioned by AVN, Luke Ford, IMDB, RAME, an interview that Marilyn Chambers did back about ten years ago......however, no one seems to be able to produce the original source of the story. Then I read the other day that there is a book published in 2000 called "Skinflicks" by David Jennings where he casually mentions that Lisa faked the stories of her own demise to find some privacy, and that she has since resurfaced to say as much. There seems to be as much proof regarding her being alive as there is her being dead. Anyone ever find anything....an obit from a newspaper or a solid confirmation from a relative? Patrick Riverside (talk) 19:35, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Proof regarding her being alive? Can you name one item of proof? Somebody writes a book that includes sensational claims... that's not proof. I haven't seen any actual evidence of her death either, but I tend to believe that she did contract aids, and died in November of '93. By the late 80's she had all but stopped performing and had moved into off screen work on the films (promotion, A.D. etc). Then she disappeared from the AV world altogether. Many female stars of the alleged "golden era" disappeared in similar fashion. No doubt some did just go underground to try and live down a past that no longer appealed to them, but quite a number wound up dead. This is an industry that just consumes young women (and no, I'm not an antiporn crusader, just a realist). If you try searching online for information on Lisa Trego or Lisa De Leeuw, you will find quite a number of sites with info about her... some of it is even true... Posthocergopropterhoc (talk) 01:05, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Jennings' books is hardly sensational. He was a legitimate industry insider with no axe to grind. He'd already left the business and gone on to other things. Jennings wrote, very simply, that AIDS became such an overwhelming issue among the actors and actresses that if someone was missing for a while, there was immediate chatter about whether they were ill or not. Two actresses, he wrote, were subjects of such talk -- DeLeeuw and Brandy Alexandre -- and Jennings said that in both cases, it was false, that DeLeeuw (Trego)didn't have AIDS, didn't die in 1993 and was still alive. He was certainly correct in the case of Alexandre -- and, to be candid, why would he lie? In fact, there is zero proof that Lisa (Trego) DeLeeuw died. Ask this question -- is it possible the very first woman in porn to contract and die from AIDS, particularly a star of DeLeeuw's popularity, without real news coverage? No way. It would have been covered in the San Francisco Examiner, the LA Times and many other places. There was not one legitimate news account that she died. It all began with a cryptic comment someone made at AVN Awards program in 1993 or 94. It grew on Internet chat boards in the early and mid-90s and then the Internet exploded to the degree that it's "fact." Lots of porn "stars" leave the business and move on without these kinds of questions, but then Lisa DeLeeuw was not an ordinary performer in the business. I expect there are plenty of people who know the former Ms. DeLeeuw as a person with a different identity these days. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AjaxMountain (talk • contribs) 20:23, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- The dispute over her death is still unresolved. You have one book claiming she died of AIDS and one book saying she's still alive. Not sure if we should be treating the subject as if she's dead like putting in the date of death. Treating her like she's dead favours one source over another. I'm guessing WP:BLP should still apply for this article. Morbidthoughts (talk) 17:54, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- She's alive and well and living in Illinois. She has a FB page, and the photos there are absolutely her - just a bit older looking, married, college age daughter. Rialto Report contacted her and confirmed it's her, but she is not interested in discussing her past career. I won't post the link to her page, but Wiki did the right thing in removing the HIV death date as it is totally incorrect. These days she's just living her private life. She did do an audio interview post-actress where she discussed her short time as a producer and being behind the camera, which she stated was hard work and disappointing, but that was some years back before she dropped out of the public eye.50.111.57.100 (talk) 10:25, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- There are at least 32 Lisa DeLeeuws on Facebook, from all over the world. Mind leaving a link to the correct one? (I don't believe she's alive.) Sd31263 (talk) 08:20, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

Personal Information
[edit]Since Lisa De Leeuw is dead and since her real name, Lisa Trego, is posted on the IMDB, I think we can safely and in good conscience include it here. Dick Kimball (talk) 17:25, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- See above, she's alive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.57.100 (talk) 10:42, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- IMDb is not considered a reliable source for biographical information. The consensus at the Porn Project is that porn star real names need to be published by high quality sources. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Pornography#Useful links for a brief summary of sources. • Gene93k (talk) 18:37, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Lisa De Leeuw is also credited as Lisa Trego in the R-rated movie "It's Called Murder, Baby," which I believe was edited from the hardcore "Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star." I have the latter version and the cast lists, as far as I can determine, are essentially identical. The inclusion of Hollywood actor Cameron Mitchell in both seems definitive; I can't believe that Mitchell made more than one movie with John Leslie and Lisa. Badly sourced content disputed
[edit]The current content of the article is almost entirely either badly sourced or not sourced at all, and is therefore highly questionable at best. IMO, it needs to be redacted back to this version. In the meantime, I've restored the {{Disputed}} tag. Valrith (talk) 05:15, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- I have removed all information that is from non-reliable sources, including her "official site". If an edit war erupts out of this, I will consult the folks over the Biographies of Living People Noticeboard since her death is in dispute. Morbidthoughts (talk) 20:09, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
