@Ebyabe, TDogg310, Hmains, Fredlyfish4, Abune, and Infrogmation: I propose merging Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park into this article (Lignumvitae Key). The article about the state park actually has more content about the NRHP Archaeological and Historic District than about the state park, but is very poorly sourced. This article can easily cover the state park, the NRHP district, and the surrounding aquatic preserve in a compact, easily maintained article, rather than spreading it over several small, largely duplicative articles. - Donald Albury13:34, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Geographically it's the same place, however main subject matter of these articles are different. There are two distinctive groups of articles - about islands and about botanical gardens.
Articles in these two groups have own specific features and audience.
I am withdrawing this merge proposal, as I now see that, while Lignumvitae Key is the heart of the state park, the park includes other elements, including another island and a large area of submerged land. I will continue trying to improve both articles, as I find time. - Donald Albury17:29, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
