[edit]Lisa is rather stupid girl who lives on her hormones. She is attracted by Stefan a nasty type who doesn’t even remember he made her a son. Lisa is completely despised by Stefan and nobody helps her except for her husband. The story enhances the character of a nasty D Juan who takes advantage of a young unexperienced girl. Hope Stefan dies in the duel. 95.94.231.231 (talk) 23:13, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
Correction to date in opening sentence of plot summary
[edit]The plot summary indicates that Lisa's obsession with the new tenant starts in "early twentieth century Vienna". This is incorrect. An on-screen caption gives the date as "around 1900". But this is the date of Stephan preparing for the duel and reading Lisa's letter. The actual story starts about 15 years earlier, this being the period after Lisa first encounter with Stephan but before moving to Linz, the two years in Linz, the time working as a fashion model, and the period of about ten years after her night with Stephan and before meeting him again at the opera (as evidenced by the age of their son).
I have therefore changed "early twentieth century" to "late nineteenth century", which I think is more accurate. Mike Marchmont (talk) 14:17, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
