Size/detail of article

This article is enormous for this subject. The article on Ledyard Stebbins, the premier plant evolutionary biologist of the 20th century, is nowhere near as long and detailed as this. Most of Gottlieb's contemporaries, including people more influential, have Wikipedia articles about a tenth the size of this one.
