Notable or not?
[edit]Hello everyone,
I'm just trying to improve things around here. And since I'm still comparably new (and when I first started this article was even newer ;) ) I'm not sure about the notability of Mrs. Brown.
I've learned since (esp. from DGG and Athaenara) that the current consensus for academic notability seems to be / is, that it's not sufficient to be the director of a school. I would personally interpret the criteria (especially number 5.) differently, but Wikipedia isn't based on my view ;)
Therefore I would be thankful for your opinions, suggestions on how I could further improve this article, or whether I should simply be "giving it up".
Many thanks, --RuhriJörg 14:03, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- I think it should be deleted. Not notable. JohndanR (talk) 15:41, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Since this article passed GNG last year and my belief that as director of The Graduate School of Political Managementshe passes WP:NACADEMIC I'd vote differenttly, but thanks for your feedback, JohndanR. I think this section should be archived to avoid confusion ;) All the best, --RuhriJörg 17:37, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- She definitely does not meet GNG with the current article sources. All the refs are either passing mentions with quotes from her (=trivial, non-independent, primary) or interviews (=non-independent, primary). She also definitely does not meet NPROF C5 (not a distinguished professor/named chair) or C6 (does not hold the highest post at a major academic institution or society). The criteria she may meet are C7, in her capacity as a frequently-sourced expert, or C1, if she has the citations. JoelleJay (talk) 14:53, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
