Additions to LVL Page
[edit]I'm hoping to add to this page to make it more robust. I am interested in clarifying in which situations LVL can be interchanged with other composite lumbers and in which scenarios one should use LVL specifically. I would also like to add a section about how LVL reacts to fire and fire safety as well as the manufacturing process of laminated veneer lumber. Here are a few sources I am looking at to get started, any suggestions on more or better sources are welcome!

Hi, new guy here. I must no know how to edit, since my edits get deleted even when linking a wiki page with citation. Perhaps someone else can step in and update the information.
Specifically, the use of veneer over ply in musical instruments dates to at least
- Ply 1956 (Walnut over pine ply, Walnut over Poplar, Hammond S6 which I personally own)
- OSB 1969 (Pecan veneer over OSB saturated in glue, Hammond L100 series in Pecan, L100 went into production in 1961 and earlier ones had ply, not OSB)
- A 60s Hammond company promotional film claims that they in-house produced plywood with water resistant glue (sound like TIGO?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jKme27M6xU
These are facts from personal experience, backed by some documentation. Likely the use is MUCH older, but my interest is electronic instruments. Hopefully the next person has better knowledge and editing skills. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:882:817F:FD00:BC77:7F0D:A2D6:8A7C (talk) 12:35, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

Block board
[edit]Would a paragraph under the heading of block board be appropriate for this page, or should it have an article to itself? Johnragla (talk) 10:52, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
