I moved over a copy-edited and shortened "Armament" section which was originally added to the LM002 article by an IP editor. The March 2021 Military Matters article which sources this section discusses the existence of a photograph showing a Oerlikon KBA autocannon mounted to the bed of a LMA002. The article has very little discussion of this image, other than to say it is "probably a mock-up of some sort." However, the photograph in the reference shows what appears to be a later, civilian-type LM002, not the single LMA002 prototype. This inconsistency made me curious. I did some searching and the earliest occurrence of the image I could find was this thread on the official forum for the game "War Thunder", dated Jan. 4, 2021. Actually, the Armament section originally added to the LM002 article is a copy-paste of part of the first post in this thread. The WT forum thread is a petition for including the vehicle in the game, and does not mention the origin of the image. I'm a bit concerned that the image may be a recent photoshopped fabrication, possibly created to support the forum poster's petition. I would really like to find a better source than the Military Matters for this image and thus the existence/significance of whatever this image shows. As it is, it's unclear whether it is an official Lamborghini prototype, mockup, photocomposite, a recent unofficial fantasy, or something else entirely. There are a list of sources in the WT thread, but none of the web sources show this image. Interestingly, there is a reference in the thread to Rivista Militare, 1982, No 5, which seems to be some sort of Italian military magazine. If any editor has access to this issue, it would be excellent to verify whether this is the source of the image. Otherwise, without a definitive original source for this image I am skeptical of the existence of this Oerlikon mount as an official Lamborghini design. I found scans of Rivista Militare, 1982, No 5 here. On pages 139-140 there is a short section about the LM002 (with photos of the LMA002), but no photos or discussion of the Oerlikon gun installation in question. Prova MO(talk)19:06, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
