[edit]I was the medic for the 2nd platoon of Bravo Company of the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Infantry Regiment, attached to the 1st Infantry Division, and after we disembarked the USS Blatchford at Vung Tau, Vietnam (we boarded the Blatchford from a small naval base on the North Western side of San Francisco Bay in early Sept 1965 and it took us 23 days to reach Vung Tau. We were then stationed in a holding area out side of Saigon. Then about a week later were moved to out to our base camp at Lai Khe on hwy 13. So from Oct 1965 till I left in late Sept 1966, our base camp was Lai Khe.
When I was in Vietnam, the 1st Infantry Division was headquartered at Di An, Vietnam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:282:A01:7100:64D1:A4D3:96CF:EA8A (talk) 18:10, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Thus I am very surprised that you do not have us listed as being in Lai Khe.
