Gaga is italian-american

Please change it: Lady Gaga is an italian-american, her both parents are italians. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3078932/bio --178.11.234.239 (talk) 22:11, 8 December 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.11.234.239 (talk) 22:07, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

IMDB is not a reliable source for such matters. Also, there are multiple sources cited in the early life section of the article, and that section says she's only 75% Italian and has French-Canadian heritage. —C.Fred (talk) 22:16, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
Italian American is also a separate concept from Italian–American. While sources currently used do not explicitly state who has more Italian ancestry, they only say she is part French as opposed to full Italian (for heritage). Snuggums (talk / edits) 22:23, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

Genres

I think one album IS enough to say that Lady Gaga is a Jazz singer... It's not like she just covered one song for christmas or something ! She released an album with Tony Bennett[1] + The Lady Is A Tramp[2] + Winter Wonderland[3] + she often said she was singing jazz since she was 13[4] + she wondered if she would ever make pop music again. And about the infobox, you should change the "genres" section because Electropop and Dance-pop : Dance-pop is a subgenre[5] and Electropop is a genre but we can generalize both as EDM. There should be Pop, EDM and Jazz in this section.

We try to base genres on long-term relevance/significance, not a recent one-off project. For example, Kanye West made a pop album in 2008, but he is known and referred to in most sources as a hip hop artist, and thus hip hop is the only genre listed in his infobox. For now, jazz should not be included in Gaga's. If she continues to make music in the genre, it can be reevaluated. –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:30, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

Reliability of Popjustice

A dispute seems to be going on regarding this change (and variants of it) - whether or not it should be included that Giorgio Moroder is working on Gaga's next album due to disputed reliability of the source. I have no doubt in my mind that Popjustice is not the preferred source, and I would prefer other sources to be used... but we're talking about an interview the website conducted with Moroder. There is little reason to believe the interview was falsified, which can have serious legal implications. Also, the website's about page includes outside commentary from Entertainment Weekly, Telegraph, NME, Sunday Times, Guardian, BBC, and several other sources I would consider reliable. It's certainly not a random, no-name blog.

It's more reliable than anything from Perez Hilton or Rockonthenet or ATRL, but I'm not convinced that the outside commentary included indicates reliability, even when from high-quality sources. Besides, lots of the commentary talks about its amusement level rather than journalistic reputation. Sometimes things are dubbed "Interview" from subpar sources, and it doesn't make them reliable enough to use. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:17, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
PopJustice does conduct interviews, so the citation of those interviews is fine. The interview should be linked directly though: [1] --Lapadite (talk) 02:23, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

I think genres should be updated, I mean a collaboration with Tony Bennett on his album Duets II, her own jazz EP (A Very Gaga Thanksgiving) and a grammy winning jazz album Cheek to Cheek should be enough to be considered as jazz singer (aside from the fact shes been singing jazz since 13 and has a jazz tour coming up). 90.183.1.45 (talk) 12:07, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Instrument listing in infobox

Shouldn't the piano be listed as one of Gaga's instruments? She is known for playing piano in many of her live performances, she has played it on all of her main albums to date bar Cheek to Cheek (including on the song "You and I", a US top ten hit), she has released two acoustic EPs that prominently feature her playing the piano, and her pre-fame roots as a piano-based singer-songwriter are well documented.

Mlpearc, Template:Infobox musical artist/doc#Instrument says to use instruments "that the artist is primarily known for using", not "primary instrument[s]" only. (Your interpretation would limit all musician's infobox listings to one instrument, and many artists are well known for playing multiple instruments.) –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:34, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

@Chasewc91: As I mentioned, her piano playing can be noted in prose, 20.000 people don't fill a sports arena to hear her play piano, they go to her her sing. If consensus deems otherwise then fine. Mlpearc (open channel) 20:44, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
You could also argue that people go for the dance beats or the visual spectacle, but we're obviously not removing "vocals". What you think people attend one of her concerts for is an opinion; what she frequently uses in live performances and on studio recordings is a fact.
I agree with you that too many musician infoboxes are just a laundry list of any instrument the artist has ever picked up - you didn't see me adding back "keyboard" (which is redundant anyway since the piano is a keyboard instrument - but I digress), nor did I add "guitar", "drums", or anything else she's ever played. But the piano is one of the instruments she is mainly known for using, even if it clearly comes second place to her vocals. I'm certainly not using Google as the end-all-be-all, but just to give you an idea, a search for lady gaga piano returns 11 million results, with the top results related to performances (unlike something like "lady gaga guitar", which primarily shows guitar music for her songs). –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:53, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi there, apologies my last request didn't work! Just wondered if Gaga's picture could be changed to the following picture from the 2015 Grammy Awards Red Carpet? The current one is very unflattering on her, particularly in the mid-drift area due to her wearing skin-tight latex. This is the picture I recommend: http://www.fashionstylestrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/lady-gaga-grammys-2015-grammy-awards.jpg

Also, her net-worth is actually $230 million, as per http://www.therichest.com/celebnetworth/celeb/singer/lady-gaga-net-worth/ and http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/singers/lady-gaga-net-worth/ - also a google search of 'lady gaga net worth' gives an answer of $230 million.

Thanks, and best wishes.

@Allyjburr93: Addressing the second point first: therichest.com has terms and conditions that indicates they do not fact check: "Information on the site may contain errors or inaccuracies.... Meat Dress

Hi there,

I feel like the meat dress is one of the defining moments of her career and certainly one of the most prominent images the public think of when they see or hear the name 'Lady Gaga'. I therefore would suggest that a picture of her wearing the dress be added to one of the sections of the article, if not even as the main picture for her page.

Can you please take into consideration to find a spot on Gaga's wiki page to name people who have praised her. Some being U2, Cher, Quincy Jones and Michael & Janet Jackson before his death have spoke highly of Lady Gaga. Beyonce has spoke highly of Lady Gaga in an interview and contemporary artist Sam Smith has cited Lady Gaga as an influence. After her Cheek to Cheek album she had received even more praise, mostly for her vocals and being able to sing in a genre that requires traditional vocal performance. Her creativity and versatility has helped her gain such positive feedback, for an artist this is so important and feel that people who visit her wiki page should be aware of those who have recognized her craft. XOfam (talk) 19:27, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Phonetics?

The three different phonetic guides currently coming after Gaga's name look ridiculuos. For one, there's no way we need three different methods (how is the Italian pronunciation any different? Does it even matter when she's not Italian?) but I don't really think any are necessary. I can't imagine how any English readers would struggle with the pronunciation of "Stefani Germanotta". According to these phonetic guides, it's said exactly how one would expect (nothing ambiguous abuot "Stefani", while the "German" in "Germanotta" makes that easy to read). Personally I think all the phonetic guides should be blitzed; it's forever until you finally get to "...is an American singer". They are just a nuissance to readers. --82.4.111.110 (talk) 14:57, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

Same person here. Well I'm glad the phonetics have been limited to 1, but I still don't see how even that is needed. It's not a hard name to read. --92.19.30.118 (talk) 14:21, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi, it's important to keep it, because in some countries the pronunciation may differ. For example here in Brazil is common to say "Stéfani", other countries "Stefaní"... Thank you. GagaNutellatalk 15:39, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
I don't find it excessive, either, and I don't know that the pronunciation is obvious to everyone, regardless of native language; while IPA should in principle be enough (and {{IPAc-en}} helpfully includes tooltip explanations), there is a strong resistance to IPA among US readers and we keep getting complaints about it, so adding respelling is a good compromise, and the Italian pronunciation is noteworthy as well. (Granted, last year, only the pronunciation of the surname was shown.) Keep in mind that this is a high-profile article and interest in this point may be substantial enough to justify the explanations. Should the pronunciation guides really bother people that much, they could be moved into a footnote, though. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 22:05, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Net Worth

The current stated net worth of $110 million is dramatically understated. She has earned $90 million in one year alone. Of course earnings do not directly add to net worth but a more accurate estimate should be given. Several sources cite $250 million as an accurate estimate. Unless a reliable source can be provided, it is not to be added. Celebritynetworth is not reliable. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 17:48, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Is TheRichest (therichest.com) also unreliable? It's the root source being used for today's additions. —C.Fred (talk) 23:37, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

Yes, and there is a hidden note in the Infobox saying specifically not to add that. It has been repeatedly rejected as dubious. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:34, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Grammy and Golden Globe nominations in 2015

In the 2015: American Horror Story and fifth studio album section - can it be added that in December 2015, Gaga received her 17th Grammy Nomination in the Best Song Written for Visual Media for 'Til It Happens To You'; and she also received her first ever Golden Globe nomination for her role on American Horror Story: Hotel.

82.32.140.76 (talk) 02:03, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

Not done for now. It's too early when we don't even know whether she'll win them. Mere nominations aren't particularly noteworthy compared to actual wins, so they'll be added if she wins. However, they can definitely be included in List of awards and nominations received by Lady Gaga either way. Snuggums (talk / edits) 04:20, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

RE: Grammy and Golden Globe nominations in 2015

Hi, I just wanted to ask why the above request was refused, when her page is littered with other mentions of nominations for albums and various things which she did not go onto win? It seems a little unfair, maybe even biased, to say in one section that she received a 'Golden Raspberry' nomination for one acting role, but yet refuse to recognise her Golden Globe nomination for her good work... It really would not take much just to add in those nominations under the 2015 section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allyjburr93 (talkcontribs) 01:21, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

2015 Section Photograph

Could a photograph be added to the 2015 section? Possibly from her role on AHS, or from her Oscars performance? I feel like those were her two most talked about moments of this year.

Occupation

Why does Lady Gaga's occupation not include her being a Record Producer, when in fact she has produced every song on The Fame Monster, Born This Way and ARTPOP, as said in all those album wiki pages. She is also a Philanthropist as said in her section of Activism, also a Businesswoman, with her having fragrances and more. She is also a dancer, as seen in many of her live performances and videos.

Not a primary occupation unlike Max Martin or Quincy Jones for example. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 10:46, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Associated act, Madeon

Hi, new here, what qualifies as an associated act? She's worked extensively with Madeon off-stage and on-stage.

Madeon was a support act for her Born This Way Ball Madeon produced several tracks for ARTPOP (listed as Leclerq)87.115.117.17 (talk) 19:41, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

An associated act is someone who meets one or more of the following criteria:
  1. A group someone has been part of (i.e. Ringo Starr was part of The Beatles
  2. A person someone has made a collaborative album with (i.e. Jay Z and Kanye West made Watch the Throne together)
  3. A person someone has shared a tour with (i.e. Eminem and Rihanna embarked on The Monster Tour together)
  4. A person someone has had at least three songs with (i.e. Justin Timberlake and Timbaland have had several collaborative songs together)
Songwriters and producers are generally not counted as associated acts. Madeon doesn't qualify in this case. Snuggums (talk / edits) 22:55, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

2015 photo

Hi, can you please add a photo for the 2015 section? I think it should either be a pic of her Oscars performance or from American Horror Story? Not sure what the rules are on what pics can be used but I'm sure one can be sourced.

May also be worth mentioning her role as Guest Editor and Columnist for V Magazine's 99th Edition, set for release on January 14th 2016. It's a pretty big deal for her and boosts her credentials in the fashion world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.107.25 (talkcontribs)

2016 Golden Globe

Might I suggest that in the opening summary, that the Golden Globe mention goes directly after the Billboard Woman of the Year win - it reads much better that way and keeps all of her achievements together, before leading on nicely to her philanthropic work/activism. Not much of a change, but it does read much more fluidly - at the moment, the Golden Globe win seems a bit out of place in that opening part, makes sense to put it with her other awards...

Most Influential People of the Decade

Since it cited three times in the article including the lead, "Time listed Gaga as one of the Most Influential People of the Decade", I'm not sure is actually accurate. She finished second in a readers' poll called "Time 100 Anniversary Poll", where everyone could vote. The way is written seems to be bigger than the Time 100 list. Wouldn't years active be reflective of "Lady Gaga" though? Personally I don't feel an uncredited minor role in her teens is a reflection of when her current career began. 82.132.231.123 (talk) 02:33, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Not done: As has been stated before, celebritynetworth.com and therichest.com are not reliable sources. So, we cannot use them.
We also cannot just tally up her earnings, since it doesn't take into account what she's spent. Net worth is what it sounds like: what she's "worth" at a given point in time, what she owns minus what she owes others. —C.Fred (talk) 05:03, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

I have removed them, unless third party reliable content can be found specifically discussing Gaga's influence, they cannot be added. I had warned Magicatthemovies previously also not to add it. —IB [ Poke ] 16:35, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Lengthy

I believe the article is very long for an artist who has been around for less than a decade. 166k bytes is way too much. I have performed some short trimmings in the lead and in another section. Before I go for more, I would like to discuss it as I wouldn't want that to become a problem in the future. -- Frankie talk 20:02, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

It could probably use some reduction. For example, we don't need to go into lost Grammy nominations when A) she already has some wins, which are much more prominent than mere nominations, B) there is already List of awards and nominations received by Lady Gaga. Snuggums (talk / edits) 21:10, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
I totally agree. My main focus is especially on the Born This Way section being too long. I wanna reduce that so much and club it with Born This Way, Artpop and Cheek to Cheek, because I believe it would flow so much better. —IB [ Poke ] 21:51, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

2016

Would it be possible to say a little more about her Bowie tribute at the Grammys? It feels like it's just been slotted in there randomly without much explanation. He was one of her biggest inspirations so it's probably one of the most important performances of her career. Something like 'Using Intel's innovative technology, Gaga sang a medley of 10 of Bowie's greatest hits, including Space Oddity, Fashion, Let's Dance and Heroes. Her outfits for the performance, designed by fashion designer Marc Jacobs, were inspired by some of Bowie's own stage costumes.'

Also, can it be added that 'On the 18th February 2016, Gaga made her first appearance on the runway at New York Fashion Week, walking in the Marc Jacobs Fall 2016 show.' — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.140.76 (talk) 14:29, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Bowie may be a large inspiration for Gaga but the performance itself has not proven itself as a milestone in her career, IMO. Mikgregor (talk) 13:25, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

New content

I feel like this article has really lost its way. Any new achievements or career highlights are simply being listed in a couple of words without any description. This is in stark contrast to the pages for the likes of Katy Perry. Also the comment above about her 'not being no Mother Theresa' is so demeaning. She may not be important to you, but to her fans and to the gay community and in light of her Oscars performance and advocacy in promoting Til It Happens To You and its message to sexual assault survivors, she is a figurehead of change. I feel as though this negative perception is coming across quite clearly in the new additions to this article, which is unfortunate because the older stuff is so well written. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.140.76 (talk) 20:13, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

I don't feel like Gaga is intentionally being snubbed, she is just not doing as much as she was in previous years (for now). Do you have any particular suggestions for changes that can be discussed? "Strong detergent" LOOOOOOOL GagaNutellatalk 21:19, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
Would Ariel do? -- Frankie talk 21:23, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
@GagaNutella, FrB.TG, and SNUGGUMS:, I have started to cleanup the biography section of the article. Let me know how does it look. —IB [ Poke ] 14:42, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
I like especially what you have done with TF and TFM section. I would be very happy if the article is brought down to ca. 120k. -- Frankie talk 15:15, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
the career beginning section was especially tricky, but I think I did a good job. —IB [ Poke ] 15:24, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
I'm dying with the detergent thing lol I support your two major edits. I want to work hard on the sources, but I'm gonna wait the clean up first. GagaNutellatalk 15:33, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Not bad so far. The reduction was definitely needed. Snuggums (talk / edits) 15:41, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

(→) I have removed a lot of unnecessary information, but keeping in mind the FTC, what do you guys think of creating List of live performances by Lady Gaga? I believe she has enough content that it won't be a CFORK. 5 concert tours, 2 residencies, plus umpteen high profile performances. And not to sound shady or anything, Gaga's live performances are much more discussed in journalism and academics than Katy's so I guess that is a possibility. —IB [ Poke ] 16:48, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

I have already suggested that [6], and I support you IB. I'm very excited to work on a new list of Gaga. We could follow M or Houston's format. GagaNutellatalk 17:03, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Not sure on that one but if created, please lemme know so that I can push it to FLC. -- Frankie talk 17:09, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Maybe, though it's probably best to start a draft first and see where that goes. Snuggums (talk / edits) 18:00, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
The most excited one seems to be GagaNutella. So he should create Draft:List of Lady Gaga live performances. :D -- Frankie talk 18:08, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Deal! I'm in!!! GagaNutellatalk 18:51, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Another thing I wanted to talk about is the public image thing. The current section is fine in terms of the structure and all, but I believe it is outdated. I am seeing quite a few articles regarding Gaga's recent transformation following the Artpop era into a more glamorous persona, old Hollywood style etc. We have to incorporate that with proper balance. —IB [ Poke ] 22:55, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Yes, we can add it in the end of the third para or so. Could you link to those articles (so that it should be easier) or do that yourself? -- Frankie talk 08:16, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
Three links for starting up, E!, Billboard, MTV News. —IB [ Poke ] 12:23, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Probably not the best but I have added a line on that. I didn't get longer keeping the length of the article in mind. -- Frankie talk 17:05, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

I would say the opposite, that this needs to have three four lines on the change since it seems it was all calculated bid, while shortening the tedious opening para and the Philathropy section. That woman is no Mother Teresa to be honest. —IB [ Poke ] 17:26, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
@IndianBio: Definitely not a good one but I have added one more line on the change [7]. -- Frankie talk 16:01, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Update

I think parts of the article require some updates. The last couple of years have seen a real transformation in terms of her aesthetic, and approach to her public image. She has moved away from trying to 'shock' at high profile events, such as Awards shows, and instead has adopted a more 'old-Hollywood glamour' style. I think it all started with her 2015 Oscars performance, and ever since then she has tried to claw back the support of sectors of the public she seemed to lose with ARTPOP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.140.76 (talk) 15:38, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Yup, that's what we are discussing right above your comment. We will try to update it at the latest. -- Frankie talk 15:49, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

2016

Can the following be added to 2015-2016 section:

In February 2016, Gaga also made her New York Fashion Week runway debut, modelling in the Marc Jacobs Spring 2016 show.

Following on from her win at the Golden Globes, Gaga confirmed on US radio that she would be returning for a second season of American Horror Story. (http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/03/american-horror-story-lady-gaga-season-6) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.140.76 (talk) 22:41, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

Not sure what to say about the Fashion Week bit, but the section already mentions how she confirmed returning for more American Horror Story. Snuggums (talk / edits) 22:48, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

PR

Guys, after a huge cleaning with strong detergent lol what do you think about about a PR? IndianBio and SNUGGUMS, thoughts?

By all means, yes. I will start it up. Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:47, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

Personal life

I have just noticed that Gaga does not have a "Personal life" section, like Tayor Swift, Rihanna and other articles. Can we add one? GagaNutellatalk 22:57, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

Definitely not a good idea. In addition to the fact that it would likely be a ridiculously short section since there's not much to say about her dating life and such, Taylor Kinney is already mentioned in the "life and career" section. Their relationship is intertwined with her career since he appeared in the "You and I" video. Rob Fusari (assuming they were together; only he has stated they were once a couple and Gaga herself never commented on the matter) also helped launch her career and worked with her on The Fame. A common issue with such sections in general is ongoing additions of fancruft, gossip, and trivia. That would likely occur in a misguided attempt to make the section look more complete when in fact it wouldn't be beneficial. It's basically asking for trouble. Snuggums (talk / edits) 23:54, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
I see, that's true! GagaNutellatalk 03:12, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

2015-2016

Could we add a bit more to this section in terms of how she transformed her approach to public perception to a more nuanced, 'public-friendly' approach - ditching her traditional avant-garde fashion and live performances in favour of a much more classic style.

There have been a number of journalistic pieces recently on her 'comeback' in terms of how she seems to have regained some of the public support she seemed to lose during ARTPOP and I think it would be wrong to ignore this.

Also, and perhaps most importantly, could something be added in respect of her public outpouring of support for Kesha in her recent legal battle with Dr Luke. This support comes from a place of personal experience given that Gaga has confirmed she was sexually assaulted when she was 19 on numerous interviews now. She has also described her performance of Til It Happens To You at the 88th Academy Awards as one of the most important of her career, and said that the response from other survivors has been inspiring. I also note that the fact that 50 other survivors of sexual assault joined her during her performance at the 88th Academy Awards has been missed out. I think this should be added.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allyjburr93 (talkcontribs) 17:49, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

I believe in the discussion thread above the main contributors to the article are already planning to incorporate her change in her image. I don't see how her support of Kesha is an important part to note in her biography though? Mikgregor (talk) 20:13, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Her support for Kesha is just a part of her more general support and activism to help sexual assault survivors as part of the Its On Us campaign. Allyjburr93 (talk) 21:31, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Gaga's Career Titles:

I've noticed that artists such as Beyonce and Katy Perry, to name just two, have their outside showbiz work credited as part of their career - they are recognised beyond being singers; titled as activists and businesswomen too, for example. Why is this not the case with Gaga? More than any of her contemporaries, she deserves it the most. Gaga is indisputably a political figure (Don't Ask / Don't Tell, LGBT equality ect, ect), pop cultural icon and a businesswoman in her right. In light of this, I think, in addition to 'just' a singer, songwriter and actress, Gaga should be credited as being all of the below:

- Singer - Songwriter - Actress - Producer (she produces a lot of her songs, especially on ARTPOP) - Philanthropist (has her own charity organisation: Born This Way) - Activist (see above) - Artist of the Avant-Garde (in terms of her fashion and artistic direction) - Model - Editor (currently named editor of the year for her work with 'V' Magazine) - Businesswoman - Music Video Director (directs her own music videos) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.153.4.49 (talk) 23:34, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Small Changes

Hi there, wondering if the following changes could be made.

Remove the word 'Elizabeth' in terms of her AHS character - she was known much more by the name 'The Countess' - I watched the entire series, and can't remember her being called Elizabeth even once.

Also, worth adding after the bit about her editing the 99th edition of V Magazine... that 'In March, Gaga received the award for Editor of the Year for her work on V99 at The Fashion Los Angeles Awards.' It was a pretty high profile event, with stars such as JLo, Kris Jenner, Nicole Richie, Gigi and Bella Hadid, as well as big names from the fashion industry in attendance. (http://www.etonline.com/news/184867_lady_gaga_nabs_editor_of_the_year_at_fashion_los_angeles_awards/) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allyjburr93 (talkcontribs) 16:52, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Very much disagree about removing "Elizabeth"; that was in fact her character's actual name ("The Countess" was really more of a title she used). Editor of the year can definitely be included, but I can't think of a good place within the 2015–present section to add it. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:30, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

After this? 'In January 2016, Gaga was invited to be the guest editor for the V magazine for its 99th issue, which features sixteen different covers.' — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.140.76 (talk) 22:46, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

Done now that I think about it, that's probably the best place Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:42, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

30th birthday

Three DYKs -- Til It Happens to You, Teeth (song) and List of Lady Gaga live performances -- and a TFL (List of songs recorded by Lady Gaga) are going to appear on 28th March on her 30th birthday. --FrB.TG (talk) 10:12, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Wow this is pretty rare isn't it? —IB [ Poke ] 10:29, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, it was a little bit difficult to convince the admins, and yes it is rare. -- FrB.TG (talk) 11:43, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
When you can't get TFA, this is probably the next best thing Snuggums (talk / edits) 13:29, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
That's HUGE!!! Congrats to everyone involved. I'm proud. I can't wait for this article become a FA. GagaNutellatalk 01:02, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
