Comma Johanneum
[edit]Metzger does not say that this is the earliest Latin ms with the heavenly witnesses, and there are earlier mss. So I am removing the Metzger reference, which really simply references Alamo and Thiele, and put in a google reference to a book that shows the text.
The Metzger reference had been "Bruce M. Metzger, The Early Versions of the New Testament (Oxford 1977, p. 338.)" and what Metzger says is:
The text of the Gospels shows signs of being a revision, being mingled with Old Latin elements. It contains the comma Johanneum 1 John v. 7 after vs. 8.
