Speedy deleting attempt

[edit]

A company that handles all the oil handling in Kuwait would be so big that certainly it is notable. Anthony Appleyard 09:02, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a question of notability.

[edit]

But advertising/no content/no sources/copyright violation (I just discovered the last one). Of the scant, scant content, the following is pulled directly from the company's main page:

"Kuwait Petroleum Corporation is the state-owned entity responsible for Kuwait's hydrocarbon interests throughout the world. As part of the global energy industry, we help to supply the world with its vital oil and gas needs by exploring for, producing, refining, transporting and marketing these precious natural resources both in our home country and internationally."

  • Source is included at the bottom of the page, content is not a criteria for speedy deletion, and some idiot's addition of copyrighted material shouldn't dictate the speedy deletion of the whole page. I'll get to improving the page once I have some free time to gather info and tidy it up. -Zer0fighta 15:56, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replacing copyvio w/Dutch Wikipedia.

[edit]

Okay... Still not sure how that solves the problem of the article existsing only to promote the company. And that there's no content and, aside from you and I, no one taking any interest in it for over a month. If someone decides it's important, it's going to have to be written from scratch anyway. Best wishes, Wysdom 09:52, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

huh?

[edit]

Wow. this happened so fast. im confused. alright. Fixing the page up. And also, 'Q8' is only a subsidiary of KPC... KPC is huge, it deals with pretty much every thing related to oil in kuwait. -Zer0fighta 15:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is Kuwait Petroleum doing in sustainability engineering?

[edit]

I would like the major fossil fuel company articles to indicate how they intend to transition to carbon-neutral fuels such as this work and "power to gas." I need to know whether they support emerging chemical engineering research such as catalysts for carbon-neutral transportation fuels, whether they are working on compressed air energy storage such as [1] and [2], airborne wind turbines such as [3], and on extracting carbon from seawater such as this PARC method in order to solve their long-term corporate viability issues. I do not believe it is possible to have a truly balanced article on a fossil fuel company without some indication of their long term prospects. Tim AFS (talk) 04:19, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I also need to know whether they are developing electrical grid energy storage in their existing expended oil and gas caverns along with mineshafts and mines for pumped-storage hydroelectricity where ordinary hydroelectric power is unavailable. Tim AFS (talk) 09:11, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
