I am somewhat hesitant about starting on the post reconstruction titles, as in that case all i have to go on is the newton encyc. and a few ADL publications. I've sent an ILL out for the 1916 ed. of the Kloran, but haven't heard anything back yet. The only Kloran that is up is the Miss White Knights, and theirs was apparently very different from alot of other modern klans. The Newton books relies mainly on an Illinois legislative report from the seventies dealing with mostly the UKA. Ideally I would use the Klorans from all these groups as a primary references, but I do not at present have that luxury. I think msu has a few constitutions and bye-laws, I'll see what i can get out of them.--Dudeman5685 (talk) 21:50, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello; this is an excellent article, however I think it may be more properly classified as a list MOS:LIST. LT90001 (talk) 02:02, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lists cannot be promoted to GA status (WP:GA?), so I have closed this review. I have also marked the article as a list. The manual of style for lists can be found here: MOS:SAL. I would encourage the nominator to improve and flesh-out the article, and then request promotion to featured list status. I wish you well on your wikitravels, LT910001 (talk) 07:52, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Misspelling?

[edit]
"The Dominion was headed by a Great Titan assisted by six Furries,"

'Furies' has one 'r'. 'Furries' means something quite different. Not sure if this is an honest mistake or a deliberate prank.

'but always styled Ancient and Honorable and Mirth-Provoking '

Ah. I think I'll go for "deliberate prank". Not necessarily. The very original KKK initiation instructed the blindfolded initiate to approach a mirror and his blindfold was removed. He then beheld himself wearing a pair of donkey's ears. This was before the group took a more sinister turn, of course.

The "furies"/"Furries" thing has already been added and taken away again. I have the horrifying suspicion that it will become a meme.

"klavern"

[edit]

Having grown up in South Carolina, the word 'klavern' was used to describe a "local chapter" of the Klan - even if this was unofficial slang for this despicable organization, it was widespread and the article should mention it. 104.169.17.29 (talk) 00:01, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What is the Cyclops?

[edit]

A Cyclops is listed as a role in the organization but the duties of the Cyclops does not appear to be explained. Several other roles seems to be equally undefined. (talk) 07:48, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In order

[edit]

Can somebody put the second Klan ranks in order? 2001:5B0:2B3D:B7C8:146B:7864:308B:E8F8 (talk) 00:34, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
