Kristen BlakeKristen DiMera – This is her legal name. On the show Days of our Lives, which she is a major character, she is always referred to as Kristen DiMera and never ever as Kristen Blake. So I don't understand why the article would be named Kristen Blake. It doesn't make any sense. DendroNaja (talk) 17:45, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Per WP:COMMONNAME, she is known as "Kristen Blake", so the page should stay as it is. livelikemusic my talk page! 17:47, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
She is never referred to as "Kristen Blake" on the show. She used to be back in the 1990's, but never ever now. She is always referred to as "Kristen DiMera". Kristen DiMera is her LEGAL NAME, not Kristen Blake. --DendroNaja (talk) 18:23, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but per WP:COMMONNAME it's Kristen Blake. Being back on a show for a year doesn't cancel out your commonname. Legal names also don't cancel out WP:COMMONNAME, nor do how you're referenced. Not how it works on Wikipedia. Maybe on other Wiki sites, but not here. livelikemusic my talk page! 18:35, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To further prove a point, more results pop for for Kristen Blake than do for Kristen DiMera. Which automatically cancels out the hope of changing the page. Published materials further compliment "Kristen Blake" as the character's common name. livelikemusic my talk page! 18:43, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but that is proves very little. The point is she is referred to as Kristen DiMera, NOT as Kristen Blake. Her legal name is Kristen DiMera and fans across the board know her and refer to her as Kristen DiMera. The article even begins with her being referred to as "Kristen DiMera". I believe your opposition to the name change is unjustified, unfair and plain wrong. --DendroNaja (talk) 19:32, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but it proves A LOT. You're ignoring Wiki policy, which is in place for a reason. Per the policy, her common name is Kristen Blake, which published materials support. And just because fans know her as Kristen DiMera does not even mean that's her common name. And the article starts as DiMera because that is her name now, but per Wiki policy, the ARTICLE must stay at the character's common name. My opposition is not unjustified, nor is it plain wrong. You are wrong, not proving your point, except going against the policies put in place to prevent fans from making pages fan dictated. Please stop ignoring the facts presented, which you have failed to present yourself. livelikemusic my talk page! 19:41, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Soaps usually have characters go by different names, given their families and marriages, etc. livelikemusic my talk page! 22:11, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blake vs. DiMera

[edit]

Kristen hasn't gone by Blake since she married Tony in the 1990s. Her common name is DiMera which the character has been using since that time and the show itself refers to her as. The name Blake hasn't even been mentioned in years and years and years.Cebr1979 (talk) 21:52, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. Jenks24 (talk) 13:37, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kristen BlakeKristen DiMera – It is of great debut of whether or not Kristen's commonname is Blake or DiMera. And considering it is of different times than it was when the first request move was made, I am re-opening for editors alike to discuss whether or not the page should be moved, once again. Below, say whether you support the change and why, or whether you oppose the change and why. livelikemusic my talk page! 19:13, 28 July 2014 (UTC) I hardly think two editors telling you facts about why a name that hasn't been used in almost two full decades is not a common name is of "great debut" (especially since that makes no sense, the word you're looking for is "debate") but, here goes anyhow: Yes, I think the page should be moved to "Kristen Dimera." As for why, well, I've already said that. So has the other editor.Cebr1979 (talk) 23:29, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Cebr1979: To me, your message to Livelikemusic sounded rude and disrespectful. You should of just left with your opppose or support and the why. But if I misunderstood, please forgive me. :@Livelikemusic: Yes, I support the move, because almost no where would you find the name ″Kristen Blake″, meaning not articles, forums, websites etc.... It all refers to ″Kristen DiMera″.  — SoapFan12 (talk, contribs) 11:37, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I support it, although her common name was still Blake during those times. *Now* it may be DiMera... (Why was this move done without consulting me again?) Yoryla (talk) 00:45, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Marriage" to Tony DiMera

[edit]

At this point, Kristen's marriage to Tony has been revealed to be a sham, and that she wasn't posing as Nicole Walker; now that Nicole is back in-town, the marriage is completely invalidated, as it was never Nicole that married Tony, as it was "legally" bound. Unfortunately, it is likely that the soap won't address the continued state of the "marriage," which could mean it continues on forever, when in fact, it will not in a legal matter; the marriage was never valid to begin with. livelikemusic talk! 13:21, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
