- The lead of this article may be too long, or may contain too many paragraphs. Please follow guidelines at WP:LEAD; be aware that the lead should adequately summarize the article.[?]
- Consider removing links that add little to the article or that have been repeated in close proximity to other links to the same article, as per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (links) and WP:CONTEXT.[?]
- Per Wikipedia:Context and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates), months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.[?]
- There may be an applicable infobox for this article. For example, see Template:Infobox Biography, Template:Infobox School, or Template:Infobox City.[?] (Note that there might not be an applicable infobox; remember that these suggestions are not generated manually)
- If this article is about a person, please add
{{persondata|PLEASE SEE [[WP:PDATA]]!}}
along with the required parameters to the article - see Wikipedia:Persondata for more information.[?] - This article is a bit too short, and therefore may not be as comprehensive as WP:WIAFA critera 1(b) is looking for. Please see if anything can be expanded upon.[?]
- This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add
<div class="references-small"><references/></div>
.[?] - The article will need references. See WP:CITE and WP:V for more information.[?]
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.[?]

Koneru Humpy or Humpy Koneru?
[edit]For someone like me who is not au fait with Indian names, what we have now is rather confusing. Which is the surname and which is the given name? We have both orders at present.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 11:36, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- These mean Koneru is the last name: The native form of this personal name is Koneru Humpy. This article uses the Western name order. and Her father Koneru Ashok
- However, the title does not use that order and "Humpy" is used to refer to her troughout the article. So, this article does not actually use the Western name order. 85.217.43.203 (talk) 19:34, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Now, the western order is used. But, she is addressed with her first name in the article text. That can't be right, can it? 85.217.42.90 (talk) 04:05, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, you're right. The page title has been moved between both name orders. Neither choice is perfect and I'm not sure which is better here. But the article should not have used her given name per WP:SURNAME, so that needed to be fixed no matter which name order is used in the title. Quale (talk) 07:07, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
- Somebody probably assumed the latter one to be her surname and used that. But what is the standard within Indian names? Hungarian names are in western order, but Chinese and other Asian seem to be in native order. 85.217.42.90 (talk) 07:08, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Vijayawada or Gudiwada?
[edit]Which one is the birthplace? Both are named in the article. --213.184.43.2 (talk) 08:29, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
