Kobe redirect

[edit]

I think that "Kobe" should redirect to this page rather than the city in Japan. Many people who search for "Kobe" are looking for the basketball player rather than the Japanese city. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NBA Fan7 (talkcontribs) 22:58, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, just as Paris should direct to Paris, France with a disambiguation link at the top. People searching for Paris Hilton will just have to click a bit further. Kobe is a city of 1.5 million and existed long before the celebrity of Kobe Bryant and will exist long after him. 85.24.189.194 (talk) 12:13, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

– When it comes to searching for the single term “Kobe”, Kobe Bryant has enough prominence and traffic that the city in Japan is not a clear unilateral primary topic. The new “Kobe” page would have the city in Japan and Kobe Bryant as two main topics, with further disambiguations in subsections below. Mrbeastmodeallday (talk) 17:42, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
