The Koh Panyee FC
[edit]Ko Panyi (or "Koh Panyee") is apparently the home of a successful football club. Finding reputable sources was somewhat difficult for me, as most search content on the subject stems from an advertisement from TMB (Thai Military Bank) depicting what it calls a true story of how the football team was formed. However I was able to find some photo blogs, travel guides ect that have some mention of the team. Notable enough? - I added this reference which quotes the creative director and the film director, who call it a "real life story", and mentions "interviews with many of the actual children involved, who are now adults". Granted, these people were hired by TMB, so they're not completely independent, but I think their testimony is pretty good evidence that it's a true story. And granted, it's a publication that specializes in advertising, but at least it's a notable enough publication and publisher to have Wikipedia articles themselves. It should be plenty for a couple sentences. Melchoir (talk) 09:51, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
- That link seems to be dead now, or at least it will not come up on my machine in the US. Can someone else confirm whether or not the link is still valid? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bboessen (talk • contribs) 15:29, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- These links seem to have the same article: http://theinspirationroom.com/daily/2011/tmb-panyee-football/ and http://www.theasiamag.com/picks/they-turned-their-fantasy-sporting-reality --Eptin (talk) 21:09, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
