Merge proposal
[edit]I propose to merge FSRU Independence into this article. These are two short article about closely related topics. Beagel (talk) 20:42, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
There should be a separate article about FSRU Independence as it is both widely commented on in Media, is a large and complicated ship and is of huge importance for the energy supply of the Baltic countries.
So if at all needed, there should then also be a separate article about the shore facilities. Ulflarsen (talk) 14:39, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- This vessel is an integral part of the terminal. All this information about the LNG supply to the Baltic states belongs to the article about the terminal, not about the ship. There is a significant overlapping. Beagel (talk) 18:37, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Rename Proposal
[edit]Suggest remaining the article to Klaipėda LNG Terminal - as stated by current terminal owner and operator Klaipedos Nafta the terminal consist of three elements "floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) named Independence, a berth and a gas pipeline". LNG FSRU Independence although the biggest part of the terminal has another dedicated page FSRU Independence, while this page should refer to all three elements which collectively are perceived as Klaipėda LNG Terminal. Moreover, the price figure stipulated in this very page is a cost of the referred berth and pipeline and not the FSRU LNG Independence itself as it is being leased. FSRU Independence suggests that the ship costs approximately $300 MM which is almost three times as the figure provided in this page. 78.56.37.40 (talk)Passerby — Preceding undated comment added 16:01, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
