External links
[edit]In this article, we have 5 links that are news articles about the same event, one of questionable value given the point of view, and one that might be valuable to incorporate in the article. Per WP:EL, "is not Wikipedia's purpose to include a lengthy or comprehensive list of external links related to each topic." What's the purpose? Thargor Orlando (talk) 00:32, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
- User:Gilabrand, can you please respond to this? Thargor Orlando (talk) 13:11, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
- There never was a "lengthy" list of external links (five is not lengthy), and as I explained earlier, each of the articles had value for expanding the article and adding references. Four of these links have now been moved to the statements that they back up. The fifth link is an article by a notable personality and I can see no reason for it to be removed.--Geewhiz (talk) 15:30, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
- Mainly because it's from a terrible source we shouldn't be using on the project. I appreciate the effort on the rest of them, though. Thargor Orlando (talk) 15:52, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Ayat al-Akhras
[edit]It's been proposed for several years that Ayat al-Akhras be merged into this article, and there does seem to be a good deal of overlap between the two; WP:BLP1E. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 21:58, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- @AdventurousSquirrel: can this not go by RM - where at least the discussion would be listed somewhere? It's a bit ridiculous that these merge tags are kept on for 4+ years with no discussion or resolution - I've removed them, if you want it merged then propose for RM so that it gets looked at - note that RM has a backlog. -- Callinus (talk) 08:54, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
