Map shows a different kingdom, was never meant to be used this way
It's not me saying this, but the editor who created the map for the Dutch article over 13 years ago: see his comments here. "[T]hese are (roughly) the areas Batanea, Trachonitis, Gualanitus, Iturea - which are the areas which in the early century CE came under the rule of Philip, son of Herod the Great. The reason why this map was included in the article on the kingdom of Chalcis, is that it does show Chalkis (north of the marked area), and that - at least at the time - no other map was available." We actually need a new, fitting map; in order to keep it for the limited use it still has, I've strongly stressed what it actually is in the caption. Please keep an eye on it, so that nobody changes the caption back to the (totally wrong) previous form. Thanks, Arminden (talk) 21:53, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
