Cite Awards

I think everyone should start citing the awards just to add credibility. Some things like the PSM magazines just need to be cited based on which issue it was. Lionheart08 00:48, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Plot to vague?

I read the plot, and the whole thing just seems too short. Some more main things should be said like the Roxas/Axel friendship. Also the nobody explaination by Yen Sid. 8-Bit 03:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

"Vague" and "short" are two different things. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 03:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

I mean like vague on the nobodies, but never mind... I did mean the Story too. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 8-Bit (talkcontribs).

I don't think the plot is too vague. However, the explanation of Nobodies said by Yen Sid should be there. Because what Nobodies actually are is not fully explained. ShadowRabbit 20:59, 25 March 2007 (UTC)ShadowRabbit

What does "vague" mean? Atomic45 23:47, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

I agree that the plot should be beefed up a little. Nobody mentioned anything about Riku taking Xehahort's form for one. The reason why Xemnas was using Sora's Keyblade ot strengthen Kingdom Hearts anything else we could add?Kou Nurasaka 02:04, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Should Final Mix + Be a Separate Article?

I know that the game is still a ways off, but from what I've seen, the game looks like it's gonna have so much info that including the separate parts of the games in their respective articles (KHII and CoM) would make the articles too long and crammed. What do you guys think? ChromeWulf ZX 22:21, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

No. The "so much info" amounts to nothing more than "New scenes and battles!" ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 01:01, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

I disagree with the above user. Final Mix + will be more than "New scenes and battles!" Thenew scenes will become the official canonical story of Kingdom Hearts 2. Enough new scenes are planned that there will have to be a section on the story. Adding the new scenes to the story section on the KH2 article, however, would be extremely wordy. A new page for Final Mix + should be added to avoid clutter on this page. Buster Sword 20:50, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Buster Sword

"official canonical story"? The only piece of plot that they're actually adding are the armored guys. Everything else is just elaboration on stuff we already know. The current plot section is sparse, so I don't know where you're getting the idea that we're actually going to detail the largely extraneous scenes from Final Mix. ' 21:40, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

You're over-complicating this. Yes, it should be a new article? Why? Because it's a separately sold, packaged PS2 game sold independently of the original Kingdom Hearts II. The end.

I absolutely love it when anons pop up out of nowhere and act as if their opinion is the final authority. ' 03:47, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Non-existent-ones

Are non-existent-ones the same as nobodies? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.142.130.49 (talk) 23:59, 5 February 2007 (UTC).

Um, yeah. It's the Nobodies that are always complaining about being nonexistant, right?—ウルタプ 00:48, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Nobodies don't exist. I think somewhere along that great big speech Yensid said, it was mentioned they were not 'real'. So, yes, they are non-existent.....I think...YazzaMatazza 14:48, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
It's also said at the end of the game, before facing the last form Xemnas takes, Sora says that he (Xemnas) doesn't exist. So yeah, non-existent-ones are Nobodies. Nique talk 14:59, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Chain of Memories is a Game Boy Advance title. It's not very good in the exciting aspect, though. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 19:19, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Could that mean it could go to xbox 360?--Falcon866 23:09, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
…not especially…don't put speculation into the article if that's what you're planning…—ウルタプ 01:01, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, since Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories was on the GameBoy Advance, it could be possible that they could move it to one of the seventh-generation consoles (Not the PS3, I mena the Wii or the Xbox 360 [Or even the PSP]), but adding it because you think that it might be....Don't do that. It has to be offical or something like that (Disney/Square Enix announces it, etc.) YazzaMatazza 13:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

It's highly doubtfull that they will. If they do change sytems in the future then you can add it.Jesusinmysock 19:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Gameinformer stated Square-Enix announced that they plan to release Kingdom Hearts games on more than one console (this is after chain of memories) but I have not heard this anwhere else. (Masterxak 22:19, 10 April 2007 (UTC))

All of the current Kingdom Hearts games are on Nintendo systems. It's highly unlikely that Square Enix would spontaneously switch between manufacturers. 72.229.124.71 04:29, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Er... 08:11, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah.... There are three things wrong with that. first Kingdom Hearts is not exclusive to any system. There is one one the Gameboy Advanced. The other two are on PS2 which is SONY owned. And, Square Enix changed companies with with Final Fantasy, For their target audience. Back in the time of Final Fantasy, the NES had the best graphics, then SNES, Then Playstation, Then PS2, now it is PS3, so obiously they were going for something. But since the Kingdom Hearts series is targeted at a younger audience, more younger kids would have the Wii, since it has more kids games, and middle class parents with children would not want to get their children a 600 dollar system. But since Wikipedia is not for speculation, Square Enix has games on the 360, Game Cube, PS2, and in the future, PS3 (Final Fantasy XIII) it could be any system, just wait.(Masterxak 23:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC))

Don't forget the PC (FFXI). And by the way, the above 72.229.124.71 isn't me. It's the same computer, but then again, this one is a public computer. 72.229.124.71 04:40, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

More facts about Final Mix 2

I just also wanted to say that in the game, there is a boss you can fight who is non other than... the armored knight from the KH2 secret ending. In the game he has a gold armor instead of the silver armor. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.38.184.142 (talkcontribs).

Please supply the reference for the promotion video that you saw. Remember, YouTube is not acceptable for obvious reasons and because it's a tertiary resource besides. http://kh2.co.uk/image.php?view=kh2/fm/scans/sj1703.jpg How is this for a reference? I'm wondering if you'll accept that. DarkRyan75 23:08, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

You can't say "he has gold armor instead of silver armor" for sure, because the secret ending had washed out colors. Also, there were changes in design between the characters found in Deep Dive and how they actually appeared in the game (the shoes, for example), so, yeah. Also, according to Shounen Jump, his "name" is the "Enigmatic Soldier" (謎の戦士, Nazo no Senshi), quite similair to the name of the secret boss from KHFM, the "Enigmatic Man" (謎の男, Nazo no Otoko). WtW-Suzaku 23:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
The Colors of his armor are the same as in the CG clip. You just need to looke closely. It is visible to see the red and goldish colors that you would guess to be sliver because of the surroundings.Le Raine 16:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
That picture in particular is not a good reference, but the magazine issue it depicts is just fine. Looks like Weekly Shonen Jump, issue…? –Gunslinger47 00:25, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
I'd like to point it out, before people take it as gospel, that "Enigmatic Man" and "Enigmatic Soldier" are just overdramatic translations. Nazo no Otoko, literally "Man of Mystery", was officially translated as "Unknown", and it's likely that Nazo no Senshi will follow suit (as "Unknown Soldier" or whatever). I still don't see how this is notable, and I'd like the game to be released before we say anything definite. ' 05:36, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + As Separate Article?

Okay, in five days FM+ is coming out in Japan. A huge amount of information has already been released (boss fight with Enigmatic Soldier (he has 16 bars!), ability to fight all members of Organization 13, Roxas battle, new secret trailer with a VERY familiar-looking villain) for the game. I think that AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE GAME, we should either a) create a separate article, or b) revamp the old one. Like, a final mix for the article itself. Just an idea, since the current plot section is sparse compared to what it could be. I understand the reasons for its shortness, but still, a lot is missing. And for information on the new secret trailer, check out www.kh2.co.uk. Chrisalbro 12:41, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

It's a special edition of the game, and so we can't really mention much except for the new things it offers. The new article would probably be excessively long, and it's better to just add to the current section in this article, when it's out. - Zero1328 Talk? 13:36, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
The plot section is spare because it's supposed to be. We're writing for the general audience, not Kingdom Hearts nerds. ' 15:39, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, but don't call me a KH nerd. I just want the article to be better. Considering that most articles were written by people that know about the subject (aka, "nerds"), it's to be expected that they might ramble. I'm not asking for a 50-paragraph essay on the story, just that it be more detailed. The character articles (Sora, Riku) are huge on story. If you want to call someone a nerd, talk to those guys. Don't make this personal.Within the Veil 12:52, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

I don't recall referring to you as a nerd. Perhaps you shouldn't make this personal. ' 15:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Honestly i think that Final Mix 2 should have it's own article ONLY if there is enough information. If there's only a small amount of stuff to say about it, than there is no point. ShadowRabbit 20:50, 25 March 2007 (UTC)ShadowRabbit

Keep the Final Mix info in this article only; it's not like you see a Final Mix page to Kingdom Hearts anyways. DiamondDragon contact 18:03, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

I also agree but only because Final Mix only has a few slight differences that should easily be noted in short sentences on the KH2 page. -Adv193 19:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm...I definitely remember asking this awhile back... *scrolls up* Yeah, I did. I agree that KH2 FM+ should just be a separate section (at the most) in the main article. ChromeWulf ZX 02:00, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

shouldnt this video get any mention? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISLUMfkk8rY --Cody6 15:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Not until there's some solid, sourced facts about the content. Nique talk 15:29, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
well, i say the fact that it's a offical video makes it solid fact right now...--Cody6 21:33, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
But the fact remains that the ONLY fact about it is that it's in the game. We don't know what it means or what's going on. Thus, we should wait. Nique talk 22:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
It's incredibly irrelevant in the long run, anyway. Like all movie teaser trailers. You don't see us mentioning "Another side, Another story..." or "[deep dive]". ' 23:42, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Maybe both Final Mixes should have their own articles.--Tempest115 17:55, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

There's not enough difference between the original and the Final Mix versions to justify that, as has been pointed out already. Nique talk 19:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

I disagree. I believe Final Mix+ should have it's own article, or longer, more detailed information on the game. It has been released, and has had substantial sales, as well as bonus content such as: A new difficulty, more scenes showing such things as: Roxas fighting Riku, flashbacks of Roxas' past, among other things. Also, new boss fights including Roxas, all 13 members of Organization XIII, and the soldier/knight from the secret ending. The secret ending has been expanded, new features in Christmas Town, a new harder difficulty, a new 'theater' mode, a 'puzzle' mode, plus the ability to get 'crowns' which increasse stats. Ankuko 00:40, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

The bonus features can easily be covered in a section in this article. If a new article is made for Final Mix, 80% of it would be identical to this page. Axem Titanium 00:45, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
And those "new features", with probably the exception of the puzzles, are ultimately irrelevant in the long run. ' 01:07, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
against the creation of the page. This is English wikipedia (small info is enough). If it ever relesed in NA which is unlikely, then I will take back my word and agree on the creation of separate page. KHFM, FFVII,FFX and X-2 Int don't have its own page, because the changes are small compared to original release, and never released in english region--w_tanoto 01:01, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Do the final fantay international versions have seprate articles. Do Lord of the rings extended versions have seprate articles. Do Unrated version of movies, extended books have seprate articles? Problem Solved. But the reason should not be because it is not realsed in English, look at all the foreign film articles(Masterxak 00:54, 5 June 2007 (UTC))

Spoiler Warning

Short and to the point: Shouldn't the story for KH2 have a spoiler warning for people who haven't finished the game yet? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.34.100.239 (talk) 16:47, 3 May 2007 (UTC).

I dont think so, even if the player wants to see it for himself and wants to be surprised because he didnt want to ruin the secret ending, some people who doesn't have the game (Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+) will maybe never ever see the game. The last Final Mix spoiler (Another Side, Another Story-Deep Dive) was the coolest one I ever seen. I would like to see it myself but I dont have the game and I just can't afford to ship it from here.Fuzion920 23:10, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Fuzion920

They have Youtube for that Fuzion920, this is Wikipedia.Mavrickindigo 02:15, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

There should be no spoiler warnings at all in wikipedia. If you want info on the game and not have it ruined go to the official site or something. Wikipedia is an encylopidia. and spoiler warnings means you must put certain info in place with them. and the reader could get confused. plus the section titled :Story or Plot should give away that there is stuff about to happen you already know. and if it is talking about changes in the plot about final mix or whatever, then the changes would be in parts that are in the game, which you havent played yet. dont complain about little things. they are the worst types of complaints ever. Now if wikipedia lied or something you could compllain about that. (Masterxak 00:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC))

I disagree with the above. Even though Wikipedia IS an encyclopedia, wich is about getting information efficiently, movies, readings and even video games are sensitive to being exposed, and so, spoiler warnings are extremely imortant to protect the reader. Also, someone might be looking for just a rough plot outline, not a completely detailed description, so warning about the fact that details are written in the section are absolutely necesarry. Confusing? Not with an IQ of 80 and above. Let me also point out that having the delight of reading a book or playing a game ruined is no small thing. It is not your task to choose for the reader, let everyone decide upon what to read and what to skip. 80.98.120.158 15:35, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

So you want us to make subjective judgments for your subjective enjoyment because you can't figure out what a section entitled "Story" contains. Brilliant. ' 02:50, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Read WP:SPOILER. Greg Jones II 02:57, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Final Mix+

it is best to take off the section that mentioned possible american release? It is not confirmed yet, so it's not a "fact". Besides, I think it is extremely unlikely it will be released in NA. Look at Final Fantasy VII international, the first of its kind (international edition), and since then, there is no single international/final mix ever released outside Japan/Asia.--w_tanoto 00:56, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

You got to be kidding. FFVII and FFX were never released in Europe; FFVII International and FFX International were released instead (although they went by the names "FFVII" and "FFX" for simplicity's sake). Kariteh 12:31, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I know that FFX International was released in Europe. I actually own it, along with Japanese version. The reason may be that european has not got any release yet when the japanese international version comes out. The EU version does not have extra ending included in Japanese international, but the game content is the same (dark aeon, penance). About FFVII, I don't know. I own Final Fantasy VII (EU), and Final Fantasy VII Intl (Japanese). The japanese has 4 CD (1 CD extra), while the EU contains 3 CD and 1 bonus DVD (FFVIII demo). I haven't found any difference in FFVII. but generally, i think FM+ will never released in english region as they already got their release (EU and NA).--w_tanoto 17:48, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
The offending sentence isn't there anymore. So far, there's been no real confirmation from Square. (By the way, Final Fantasy VII International is just the Japanese version with the two extra WEAPONs and a CD containing some information about the game.) ' 19:28, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, but they could make so much money off of it in America, and other English speaking countries. But if Europe is recieving the international versions without certain parts, but no origanal version first... wouldnt that be considered the European version? since it is not completly the international version, but not the American version either? I would consider it an European version! I am not trying to be mean. If I am wrong then correct me, but it just sound like a European version.(Masterxak 00:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC))

Well, it looks like there was an edit war over the "Gummi Ship" section, which has apparently died down. Only an admin can protect/unprotect a page. If you would like to unprotect the page, you can request User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me to unprotect it, since they were the admin who protected it in the first place. Just leave a message on their talk page. Make sure you leave your signature by typing " ~~~~ "
Another option is to get a user account, I know I went a while without one, but am now glad I finally got one. Even if you only do a couple of small edits a week, I'd say it's worth getting one because it will help establish yourself in the community, and you won't have to deal with semi-protected pages like this anymore. The only down side is that you'd have to wait two weeks to edit semi-protected pages.
Also depending on the edit one of us could do it for you. (Guyinblack25 15:09, 17 June 2007 (UTC))

Final Mix Extras

There is a new form (Limit Form) and New Weaponary includes Sora's Duel Bout (recieved after defeating Roxas and then the Mushroom keyblade) then there is Goofy's new Ice Sheild and Donald's Tomahawk staff (synthisized with Lost Visions). May I put it up again? ZSoraz 22:27, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

No. It's not notable. "Gameplay elements" is sufficient enough. ' 22:31, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Probably why we should seperate Final Mix into it's own section IMO. ZSoraz 22:33, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Not trying to sound derogatory, or condescending, but I think that's what Wikibooks is for. They do have a Video Game section. I think that because wikipedia is more well known, people come here first, but wikipedia is not meant to serve as an in-depth game guide or even a partial game guide, that's why in-depth information about the gameplay or game content is discouraged. Another alternate is StrategyWiki, which I believe is not affiliated with Wikipedia. Just a suggestion.(Guyinblack25 23:04, 25 June 2007 (UTC))

Spoiler tags

I got a little bit confused with that comment in the plot and story sections that if the first thing anyone was thinking of spoiler, everyone else would think the same thing. Spoiler tags are actually not needed to be added as per story and plot consensus on WP:SPOILER. Any thoughts? Greg Jones II 03:00, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right. I think that bit of text was added a while ago before the consensus was reached to stop editors from adding the spoiler tag. My guess is from an edit war. I've kept it in there just to stop new editors from adding the spoiler tags. (Guyinblack25 03:41, 28 June 2007 (UTC))
