Why is most of the first sentence in Italics?
[edit]I removed the italics from the first sentence. Why were they there? I see they have been put back. Why? Opera titles do not begin with italics under any circumstances. The title is given in bold italics.--Kleinzach (talk) 23:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I am trying to distinguish the subtitle, without resorting to "(original title:...). As for Opera titles never begining with italics, this seems much more common than the reverse: see Don Giovanni and an article you created, Orpheus und Eurydike. Perhaps you meant something different? Sparafucil (talk) 22:55, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- As I wrote: "The title is given in bold italics" . (That's an example of bold italics.) It's also common to include the whole subtitle in the bold italics as well. What we don't use is plain italics. OK? Hope that is clear now. -- Kleinzach (talk) 04:17, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
