I have discussed the issue of ethnicity in the infobox several times and had a consensus that it should not be emphasized by putting it in the infobox or in the first paragraph of the article unless it's highly crucial and relevant to the issue. I am confused. I have taken genetics and biology. You get 50% of the DNA from each parent. Her mother is 100% Scot/Dutch (under Kris Jenner in Wikipedia and 100% English under Kim Kardashian in Wikipedia) and her father is 100% Armenian (except her great-grandmother is Turkish/Armenian.) Yes, the DNA test was read out completely wrong by the host as she can only be 50% Armenian not 94%. Her sister had her dan test results read out by George Lopez too and was given as 97% European which is surly how it was written on the card. It's just a mistake by the host. Kardashian and Black Men: No Need For Explanation

This article states that "Despite dating three African-Americans in the past, Kim stated she is not exclusively attracted to black males." Is it necessary to even mention this? What kind of men should she be attracted to? "Her own kind?" What kind is that? It's just an odd comment to me because if you only date people of your same skin color, there's no comment on that. But if you date more than one person of a different color, you have to defend yourself. I think this doesn't make sense.

Heh, quick to remove my comment. Well, here is something that isn't libelous. trends of search queries for Kim Kardashian. As we can clearly see by the graphs, she was a complete unknown until the beginning of 2007, which at that point her popularity on the internet spikes. The opening of her reality show in October later that year doesn't really spike any higher. Matter of fact, her name as a search query doesn't rise about that initial early 2007 spike until she starts getting substantial news coverage. Oddly enough, if we expand this search query to "Kim Kardashian sex tape" here we can see that the popularity of that search term quickly died out early 2007 but made a miraculous come back months later right around the time her show aired, and has slowly risen ever since. Early life question

In the early life section, it states that her father is third-generation Armenian-American. But then it says that her great-grandparents left Armenia for the US. If I recall correctly, and based on what this article says, the immigrants themselves count as the "1st generation". By those standards, this breakdown is as follows:

Kim's great-grandparents (1st generation Americans)

Kim's grandparents (2nd generation Americans)

Kim's father (3rd generation)

Kim (4th generation)

Actually her sex-tape had a huge part in her rise to fame, so did the reality show, but the sex-tape largely as well. It would be ridiculous to not give the sex-tape emphasis on of her rise to fame in my opinion. No reason for it to be removed or the emphasis on the importance of it too. At around 37 minutes in the sex tape, Kim Kardashian is filmed looking in the camera, and saying "Hey everybody, it's Kim, I just really wanna [pause] I'll just show you". She then starts to perform fellatio.

This strongly indicates that both Kim Kardashian and Ray J had the intent for a large group of people to watch the video and masturbate to it. The most likely way for this to happen is through distribution. The article does not accurately reflect these indications. Especially the word "leaked" is not in accordance with the events in the sex tape. Since this is a protected article I am requesting that an edit is made to reflect this information. Thank you. Omission

The article has a glaring omission: any reference to her plastic surgery. Name Change.

In 'Kims Fairytale Wedding' we see that she decided not to change her name, not legally and not for stage. Being so her name should not appear as Kimberly Kardashian Humphries (nee Kimberly Noel Kardashian) it should remain as it was originally.

Name formatting

In my understanding of names, Kardashian West is now her last name, therefore in the article opening it should be formatted as Kimberly "Kim" Kardashian West. But, I've had multiple people revert this and change it back to Kimberly Kardashian "Kim" West, which I think makes no sense. Her middle name is not Kardashian. Any input? Where did she come from?

Forgive my lack of understanding, I came to WP to learn what the lady had done to become a 'celebrity'. I'm no wiser. Its as if she appeared from nowhere as a random choice? I don't wish to demean anyone, but this article doesn't tell me how or why she was chosen for fame? (Yes I can see she is very attractive, is that all it is?) I am requesting to add the below statement under the year 2012 for the Kim Kardashian page.

In 2011, Kim Kardashian filed a $20 million lawsuit against Old Navy and its parent company, Gap, Inc. for right of publicity. Old Navy used actress/model Melissa Molinaro in their Old Navy commercial featuring the actress singing and dancing. Kim Kardashian claimed that Old Navy used Molinaro as a look alike to Kim in order to promote their brand. Kim Kardashian was also seeking order to have the actress/model Molinaro banned from Old Navy commercials. The lawsuit never went to trial but a settlement was reached by use of a mediator in 2012; the exact settlement is unknown.
