[edit]Hi-
I'm very new to Wiki as a creator but have been using it for a long time. (Thanks!) My company Kids Preferred is among the largest plush toy manufacturers in the world, and I thought it would be a wise decision for us to have a Wiki Page. We are the exclusive license holders too many of the worlds best selling childrens authors (Eric Carle, Eric Hill...etc) and sell our products in over 25,000 stores in the world. I am trying to create this page as to not make it an advertisement AT ALL.

- pages on Wikipedia need to have an indication of importance. Because iv never heard of Kids Preferred before. - Sghfdhdfghdfgfd (talk) 14:29, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Mr Presser. I appreciate that you are trying to keep the article without advertising. If you have sources to support your assertion of notability, please include them in the article. You don't need to worry about getting the formatting right, you can even just put them in the article below a == References == section. If it helps, you can look at what we consider reliable sources and our corporation and business notability guidelines. Syrthiss (talk) 14:39, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
The award is enough of an indication of importance to avoid a speedy deletion. The article will require a source for this information, per our WP:Verifiability policy. In the long term, the article may also need to demostrate that the company has received significant coverage in reliable publications WP:CORP. Marasmusine (talk) 15:01, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
I can't find any secondary sources about the award or the company; only press releases. I think that a shop giving one of its suppliers some recognition simply isn't noteworthy. I'll give this a few more days, then propose it for deletion. Marasmusine (talk) 11:10, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- A company web site can be a very reliable source (CNN, for example)... but when a company writes about itself, there's obviously no one reviewing the statements for neutral POV and accuracy. You'll need sources other than the company writing about it in order to justify an article, and I say this as someone who has supported keeping many articles since deleted. Hello - I have provided a few links to esteemed websites in the toy industry that can verify the many awards we have won. I hope that you will find this notable / credible. Lpresser (talk) 00:32, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'll have a good look through them later; in the mean-time if you wish to contest the proposed deletion, you can remove the template.Marasmusine (talk) 08:25, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
