Spelling of Cee'd
[edit]These marketing guys keep trying to add non-alphanumeric characters to automobile nameplates. This ' is just ridiculous, but that is the official naming, so I think we should keep it. But the other problem is the C; should it go with lower or upper case? Since it is a brand name, the creators can do whatever they want, but most Wikipedia article ignore these crazy ideas (inevitable exception: iPod). I vote for Cee'd. What do you say? (let's first wait until enough people vote) -- NaBUru38 23:18, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- I believe it is a capital C. I will be able to tell you when my familly gets one.Sco1996 (talk) 07:25, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Kia spell cee'd with a lower case C but other people spell it with a capital C.Sco1996 | I will respond. 07:28, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- On the logo, it is a lower case C, but at all times it is spelt with a capital C like you would expect. Sco1996 | I will respond. 12:32, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Anyway, why article is named as Kia Cee'd (automobile) and not just Kia Cee'd, and why the artilce says all the time Kia cee'd?? this need to be fixed --Typ932 T·C 22:17, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Kia Cee'd (automobile) → Kia Cee'd —
"Kia Cee'd" name has no other meanings. Kia Cee'd is a car. So we can remove "(automobile)" from the page name. --Love Krittaya (talk) 06:40, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Merger of Kia pro cee'd
[edit]It's been suggested that Kia pro cee'd be merged into this article. Any objections? - Pointillist (talk) 17:44, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
I'd perfectly agree - the pro_cee'd is just a close derivative from the cee'd
38.117.109.20 (talk) 10:32, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- All the pro Cee'd is is a 3 door version of the Cee'd. Sco1996 (talk) 07:26, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Merger of Sections
[edit]I sugest that we merge the Saftey and Technology sections. Does anyone agree? Sco1996 (talk) 07:31, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- No, i feel they should be kept separate.
- I just removed a few weasel words from the safety section and added more to it.
- The technology section fundamentally deals with technology, not necessarily safety, but mostly features.

More
[edit]I think there should be more information on the Kia Cee'd being the new top gear reasonably priced car. Although, I think it would be best on the Top Gear article withe a link through to that article. Sco1996 | I will respond. 09:55, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]Cee'd is never pronouced as see apostrophe d. Only Jeremy Clarkson does it this way and he does it as a joke. Sco1996 | I will respond. 12:23, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- How does one pronounce it? 98.206.155.53 (talk) 15:00, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- it sounds the same as Seed, Just say seed! Thanks, George Georgeh109 (My Talk Page) 18:19, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
palsatine
[edit]Whoever added the bit about the Cee'd and Forte being available in Israel on 11th March, please remember to not use text speak and use proper English. Thanks Jenova20 16:08, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Just removed the section about Israel again. It isn't required as the statement there already covers it. Thanks Jenova20 16:09, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Well Isreal is back ... and it's NOT a part of Europe ... please remove it again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.195.121.113 (talk) 15:44, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
Bias?
[edit]Hi, I think the section where it says this is biased:
"Sensibly realising that CEEED was an ‘E’ too far, they replaced one of them with an apostrophe, thus giving us cee’d and always in lower case."
This is an obvious bias, and it could be rewritten, but I think somebody who knows more about the subject could rewrite it, and I was wondering if anybody agreed. Thanks, George Georgeh109 (My Talk Page) 18:24, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Second generation engine?
[edit]There is a possible inaccuracy: This wikipedia page states 1,6 L G4FG has GDi injection. Hyundai Gamma engine series wiki page states G4FG is MPi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Gamma_engine#1.6_L). (I am neither an expert in this topic, nor at editing wikipedia, that's why I only opened a talk section instead of editing straight away, sorry if this is not the best way)
