More elegant form of link spam
[edit]See Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_11 and scroll down to the boxed-up entry for the European Library. The Khitrovo Gospel is not the nucleus of an article on a notable topic that can be expanded in a meaningful way by regular editors. It is possible that a side-mention of the Khitrovo Gospel might belong in one of our existing articles on Russian history. An entire article need not exist just to provide a repository for a single link to the European Library. EdJohnston 05:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- The UNESCO Memory of the World Register states that "The manuscript has a great significance in the human written history of universal philosophy and culture.". I added the link and I will remove the deletion tag. Stammer 12:45, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have removed the prod as inappropriate. I commented vigourously at the time against the EL setting-up these un-wiki stubs, & reworked it a bit myself I think. It is now no worse than many Illuminated MS stubs, & the book is unquestionably notable. To say: "The Khitrovo Gospel is not the nucleus of an article on a notable topic that can be expanded in a meaningful way by regular editors" is just plain wrong. It should have an IM stub tag, btw. Gospels
[edit]A very welcome expansion & pic, but what are the contents? Is it just one Gospel, or should it be renamed to Khitrovo Gospels? Johnbod 15:33, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- read more carefully & moved. I renamed the redlink one on the assumption it has the set too. Johnbod 15:37, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
