Schools in Karabakh named after him?
[edit]When I visited Shushi last year, I visited a primary school that I believe was named after Abovyan. I saw his portrait hanging from a wall but I wonder if anyone else confirms this. If so, I can perhaps upload an image of the school.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 04:10, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I can tell this article was carefully put together. It is certainly acceptable as a Good Article. If you consider trying Feature Articles, please solicit a copyedit beforehand. --maclean 19:27, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
1. Well written. I made a few copyedit changes, mostly removing excess words or adding commas. Two sentences stuck out though:
- "was transferred to the same post in Yerevan where he also encountered apathy and antagonism.[13]" - unclear what 'post' is referring to, and where did the 'apathy and antagonism' come from?
- "which had a strong influence wide layers of Armenian society" - unclear wording
2. Factually accurate and verifiable - references look good and properly used via inline citations.
3. Broad in its coverage - covers major aspects of his life and works.
4. Neutral - yes.
5. Stable - yes.
6. Illustrated appropriately - all images are relevant and properly licensed.
- Thank you for the prompt review. I addressed the issues you raised within the prose.-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 20:19, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
