2010 newspaper article on last 30 years

[edit]

I just read a newspaper article which seems to have a great deal of usable info but at a glance is redundant to the WP article's info. Maybe someone else might see something there that's notable but not already included. Lubinger, Bill (2010-08-28). "After 30 years of futility, Kent State football pushes for a turnaround season (and more fans)". The Plain Dealer. {{cite news}}: Cite has empty unknown parameter: |coauthors= (help) Mapsax (talk) 05:55, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Josh Cribbs' number retired

[edit]

Could someone who knows how to do the artwork please update the retired number section to add Josh Cribbs' No. 9 to the retired number section? Thanks.

I've been meaning to do that as I made the other numbers. --JonRidinger (talk) 19:26, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First time beating ranked opponent

[edit]

KSU beating Rutgers, not to mention the season as a whole, is obviously notable, but the article leaves off at the 2010 season, and the subarticle covering this season lacks a place for notes, so I'm not sure where this could go. Mapsax (talk) 13:38, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It can go in both. It's just a matter of time to get it included. Similar to the Kent, Ohio article, there are very few who actually maintain the articles, so adding new info isn't as instantaneous as it is for some other teams. The 2012 season article, when more complete, can have full game summaries (see 2012 Ohio State Buckeyes team for instance), which is where it would likely be mentioned (along with the longest winning streak since 1940 and now votes in both polls), as well as in the lead. --JonRidinger (talk) 21:27, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I figured. Just so that it's acknowledged by editors. I would have put it in myself but there would have been no transition; I wanted to make sure that one was planned. Mapsax (talk) 10:55, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
