Nous?

When I think of the name Posdnuos, I think of the greek concept Nous, or a knowledge that is not "how to" (techne in Greek more or less) but why. It is knowledge of why you do what you do, and why it is important. Does that relate to the man's name? Are there any articles about this at all? Is it not, and the name has some afro-centric meaning instead....or some other meaning?
