Untitled
[edit]"Keller Williams" while only one man is a nationally touring act under a fairly large independent label (SCI Fidelity). Playing hundreds of shows a year, even in small towns he attracts easily hundreds and many times, even thousands of fans. In certain contexts (say "the jam band scene"), his name is very familiar and well known. This article could be cleaned up in terms of language, content and organization. The extent to which important other artists (Yonder Mountain, SCI, Umphrey's, etc.) routinely ask Keller to share the stage should be considered.
I don't think the article insinuates in any way that Keller Williams is not a large act. He clearly is. In terms of clean up, you seem like you care about him, why don't you do it? As far as artists that he plays with, Keller Williams Incident and Keller McGee are both mentioned, as well as the summer 2005 tour, which was largely collaborative. You seem mildly offended, but it doesn't seem to be in response to anything real. Jfocht1 11:00, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
"Covers" List
[edit]I added Todd Snider to the list of musicians he covers for the excellent version of "Conservative Christian" he does. Didgepenguin
Diseased?
[edit]What does he has a dog named "Sheeba (diseased)" mean? Is the dog sick? Dead? Jfocht1 10:56, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Just reading this page in passing, I would expect that the author intended to write that the dog is "deceased," not "diseased." I will look into this and update accordingly. --Ztheday 23:47, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
From the following website: http://www.synthesis.net/music/story.php?type=band&id=783 Are you still touring with your dogs? Sheeba passed in September, but Earl is with us and being cool.
I will update the main page. --Ztheday 23:52, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Trivia section
[edit]I removed this section as unnecessary and unsourced. Thanks,--Tom 12:52, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
copy edit
[edit]I tried to do a little ce here. This guy sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind checking him out :) --Tom 13:03, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
I've attempted to remove some of the biased language, and make the article more readable and understandable for people who are not yet familiar with Keller Williams. CyberSpyder —Preceding comment was added at 19:56, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Some Call Him Keller
[edit]Is it necessary to take such pains to point out that his fans refer to him by his first name? That doesn't seem very uncommon, it isn't a nickname, and to mention it twice like that right away makes this article sound a lot like an feature for Tiger Beat. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackth13teen (talk • contribs) 07:37, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Overhaul (or Pimp My Keller)
[edit]This page is pretty inconsistent with other musician/band articles. I have started making some changes, merging some sections, deleting unreferenced material and using similar headers to other musician articles.
I have started making articles about each album, so the information in 'recent albums' should eventually be put in the appropriate album-specific article. I am leaving it here until such time as the album's article is created.
