I archived the reference links.
The lead says one season in the NFL, yet it says in the infobox that he was with the Packers in 1978. Maybe clarify.
he recorded no statistics is probably not necessary. Instead, maybe say something like "he recorded no tackles on special teams and no receptions on offense".

@Gonzo fan2007: I re-worded the lead to fix your first issue; as for the second, tackles weren't recorded in 1977, so I don't think it'd be appropriate to change to your wording as he could have gotten a tackle, it just wasn't recorded.   - @FormalDude: QPQ done. I would be fine with your ALT suggestion but maybe change it a little to "... that Keith Hartwig overcame an injury he was told would end his career in high school and went on to play in the National Football League" - I think it a bit more interesting that his career was supposed to be over in high school but he still made it to the NFL.
