Vandalism ?
[edit]What is that about knocking a jew over ? I will remove it as it is unnecessary and it must be considered offensive. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Juliancoccia (talk • contribs) 23:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC).
Split
[edit]This article is about the Kazakh Steppes, which extend across all of Kazakhstan. Saryarka - Steppe and Lakes of Northern Kazakhstan only occupies one part of the Kazakh Steppes. The UNESCO infobox and additional world heritage-realated info should be on a different page specifically for the Saryarka area. Otebig (talk) 09:07, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

How did the Steppes come to be?
[edit]I read a book that included information about how the steppes were formed. I think it is important to include this in the article. It was the consequence of nuclear testing in Khazakhstan. It caused the climate and terrain to change dramatically. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.221.144.60 (talk) 04:02, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- Kazakh steppes existed for thousands of years before nuclear testing. Selerian (talk) 07:14, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
