Hoax

I've not looked at the material in the hat too closely yet, so bear with it's examination, but if the contention is that this is a well-known hoax then as a topic it is all the more notable, rather than being merged to Hansel and Gretel. Like the Piltdown man, it's irrelevant whether the contention is correct from start to finish, but rather that it is a well known hoax. In fact, on a first sniff of the hat citations it seems to have been quite striking as a hoax --- "Die Parodie erwies sich als "der größte literarische Jux der letzten Jahre" (so die "Berliner Morgenpost")". And more notable for continuing to be cited in e.g. Huff Post, without attribution as a hoax, even in the updated content of Jan 5, 2015. I cannot work further on this now, but I aim to return. As a thought, it may be that the topic title should be changed to Katharina Schraderin (hoax). FeatherPluma (talk) 00:57, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@FeatherPluma: I've redirected the article to The Truth About Hansel and Gretel (book) since that's where the hoax comes from - I agree it's still notable, feel free to add any content you were going to include here over there. Fyddlestix (talk) 01:27, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
