My First Article

[edit]

If someone knows how to enter the Farsi word for this dish, written in Farsi script, with the little pronunciation thing, that'd be great! I can't read/write in Farsi.

How do I add this to a category? Only category I can think of is, Iranian Cuisine.

How do people typically find sources for food articles?

Thanks! Cammy169 (talk) 17:19, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

It would help if the images were in a gallery at the footer and there was one image that was in the info box (instead of two). The two images in the info box may mess up the display on mobile or in the app, but also are hard to see since they are so small. Jooojay (talk) 21:34, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative spellings in English

[edit]

"The spelling of the name of this dish varies in English and can include; kashke bademjan, kashkeh bademjoon, kashk bademjan, kashk e badamjan."

This article, like all other articles on WIkipedia regarding food in other languages, (more specifically languages with different alphabets than we use in English) need to list other spellings for the sake of consistency and search results. Please stop deleting important content. Also to note, all the citations have various spelling as well. Jooojay (talk) 21:47, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This is so unnecessary to add every single possible spelling, some of which are totally false and rare.
At least let me fix the punctuation. You never use a semicolon like that.

If what you say was true and this is "totally false and rare" we would not see the different spellings in citations/sources in English and it would not impact a reflection on regional differences either. It is important that it exists here, just as it does for every other food that is similar. -Jooojay (talk) 21:02, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
