Pronunciation of name

[edit]

I see that the pronunciation is given as [ka.ʁin de.je], but I am not happy about the yod [j] in the second syllable of the surname. I should be inclined to say [de.ɛ], but in this video I hear [de.e]. Maybe this is a regional pronunciation, given that the interviewer is speaking to her in Vaucluse, right down in southern France. In another video I hear what I expect. The name probably just means "Hedges". If anyone is worried about the s not being pronounced, it is because the h is deemed to be aspirated, even though it is no longer heard in standard French. Has anyone any comments? Well, as no one has commented, I shall put in the standard French pronunciation. LynwoodF (talk) 15:46, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
