"Saïed"
[edit]Why is his surname Saeed so strangely written in Latin script - "Saïed"? Does it reflect Tunisian pronounciation? Moreover, it can be easily messed up with completely different Arabic surname "Sayed". --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 19:10, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- The article itself was translated from French. Is there a better translation in English media for his name? I'm fine doing a page-move if a reliable source has a better translation. Bkissin (talk) 19:25, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- it should be "Qais Saeed".--SharabSalam (talk) 22:44, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
- Sidoroff-B It is Saied or Sayed; they are both the same name. Also Qais or Qays or Kais all are the same. I changed the ï to i per what English sources use.[1]Tunisia election: Kais Saied's supporters celebrate 'landslide--SharabSalam (talk) 12:04, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
Birth place
[edit]I see several sources contradicting on his place of birth. I've seen Tunis, Aryanah, and Béni Khiar. Can anyone get additional confirmation? HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 02:50, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Sources conflicting eachother gulf news says Tunis while Jazeera says Arina. Arabic sources say Tunis. Can't tell which one is right. Most sources in Arabic say Tunis except Jazeera.--SharabSalam (talk) 21:03, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
Kurdish constitution
[edit]Congrats (based on exit polls) from CZ non-politics non-diplomacy non-religion "one person system".
I have no idea what should the "least bad" Kurdistan constitution look like. But I think they won't be happy with death in any part of their legal system...

When does he take over?
[edit]Now that he has won the presidential election final round, I find lots of sources saying something like he is "poised to become president". Does anyone know when he will actually take office as president? What more - if anything - needs to happen before that will happen, please? Thank you. Regards Charles01 (talk) 19:39, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Charles01 at the end of the month.--SharabSalam (talk) 19:52, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- At this time, candidates might appeal against the results. At the end of the month he will do something called "اليمين الدستوري" idk what it is called in English. It means he is going to promise that he will serve the country. Source:Euronews in Arabic.--SharabSalam (talk) 19:55, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- There is no specific day for that.--SharabSalam (talk) 19:56, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks SharabSalam! The term for that in English would be an inauguration. :) Bkissin (talk) 20:11, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks!. Arabic Wikipedia redirect to "Oath of office" when I searched for it. This is going to happen at the end of the month. No specific day. During this time other candidates can appeal against the results.--SharabSalam (talk) 20:20, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

President or Vice-President?
[edit]Firstly it is stated that he was President of the Tunisian Association of Constitutional Law from 1995 to 2019, then vice-president of the association since 1995. Which statement is a true? Досвітній морок (talk) 13:20, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Are there any sources that refute or deny these sources, are there other sources that confirm these sources. Please let me know. Thanks. Zifrs69 (talk) 15:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
