[edit]@Ss112 and Cattus: Hi. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Japan-related articles#General guidelines. If there's "ou" or "oo" (and if it isn't split between two kanjis), write "ō". Same goes for "uu" → "ū" and "aa" → "ā". --Moscow Connection (talk) 15:08, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Moscow Connection: Great, I'll bear that in mind if I decide to create another article with a long vowel in it. There seems to be awful lot of articles out there still using "ou" and "oo" when they should be using macrons then. Ss112 15:13, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, they should be using macrons. By the way, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound condescending or anything.
As for "Shitaku Naru", such serial verb combinations are sometimes (by some people) seen as one word, but I think it is much more preferable to separate them.
(I pinged Cattus because he creates lots of Japan-related articles and I've renamed two articles he created just today.)--Moscow Connection (talk) 15:24, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
