Current Programming Schedule (violated Wikipedia:NOTDIR)
[edit]According to the station's website, kfwb.com, the following is the current lineup:
WEEKDAYS Comprises the bulk of the News / Talk format. During each talk show except the two KFWB-produced newscasts, station anchors present a short 5-minute newscast of headlines, traffic, and sports at the top of the hour.
LA's Morning News with Penny Griego & Phil Hulett 5:00 am – 9:00 am
Money 101 with Bob McCormick 9:00 am - 11:00 am
THE DAVE RAMSEY SHOW with Dave Ramsey 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
LA's Afternoon News with Maggie McKay & Michael Shappee 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
THE MICHAEL SMERCONISH SHOW with Michael Smerconish 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
WEEKENDS Lifestyle-based News / Talk programming. As with the weekday schedule, station anchors present a top-of-the-hour newscast.
- I removed the schedule for a number of reasons... mainly the violation of NOTDIR. Not to mention the section was not written in prose, and was likely copied directly from the website. If it can be fixed, by all means re-include it. milonica (talk) 18:10, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Update/modifications needed — CBS finally parts with KFWB, more-or-less
[edit]It's a bit hard to do right now, but this article should probably eventually be updated to reflect that KFWB, for all intents and purposes, has finally (after a decade, ever since Viacom's 2002 acquisition of KCAL-TV started this whole mess) been torn away from its non-compliant-with-FCC-rules ownership and operation by CBS Radio. Obviously it will take a bit for this to be reflected in FCC resources (even CDBS), since the FCC has to accept the consummation notice (and filings tend to appear in CDBS the day after the filing; a recent extension of consummation notification indicates that, as of October 24, the transfer finally took place today after all opposition to the KFWB Trust transfer was finally exhausted; although the infobox already shows "KFWB Trust" as the owner and has for some time, the license has nonetheless remained held by CBS Radio East Inc., which obviously is still CBS itself), but KFWB has already been banished from CBS Los Angeles and forced to relocate to www

Old Time Radio Programs
[edit]I know of a couple of original radio programs during the Golden Age of Radio. Tarzan began in September 12, 1932, starring James Pierce and Joan Burroughs, and, I think, The Grouch Club. The Warner Brothers Academy was used to spotlight new actors. Unfortunately, I don't know that much about any of these programs, except for what I've come across from listening to OTR programs and a Grouch Club short that was included on a Warner Brothers' DVD of a gangster movie of the era. More Detail
[edit]There is a lot of detail here:

including many references to publications. The Wikipedia article seems to be inaccurate in a number of places. I am up to my neck on a very large project and don't have time to work on it. Keith Henson (talk) 04:06, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
