Fair use rationale for Image:KYCY2005.jpg

[edit]

Image:KYCY2005.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:20, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article about the frequency, not the history of the station

[edit]

This article is about the history of stations at the frequency 1550 AM, not about KFRC per se. That's a pity, as the history of KFRC (at 610 AM) is much more interesting. And, not to mention, it would be much more linear if the article were about the station with the KFRC call letters, no matter what frequency it was at on the dial. Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Infobox looks good.
  • Add a serial comma after "CBS Radio".
  • Other than that, the lead looks good as well.

History

[edit]
  • "several staff" doesn't sound right as staff already refers to more than one person. Try rewording.
  • "Eastern time" → "Eastern Time"
  • "new combined" → "newly combined"
  • this isn't correct for the particular case, I've left this alone
  • "require a divestiture" → "require divestiture"
  • Add a serial comma after Ajay Bhutoria.
  • Looks like someone added this during the nom—I've trimmed it back but retained one fact with an added source.
  • Add a comma after "June 3, 2019" per MOS:DATECOMMA.
  • "on August 2018" → "in August 2018"

Transmitter site

[edit]
  • "king tide" should link to king tide.
  • "as king tide" → "as a king tide" or "as king tides"

References

[edit]
  • Archive all archivable sources, including that first PDF.

  • The article was promoted to GA within the seven days this was created. The article also is long enough and within policy. As for the first hook its behind a paywall but it does look to meet the criteria for format and content to be on DYK. the second hook doesn't look as interesting in comparison, imo.
