@420Traveler: Your prose needs a bit of fine-tuning. I can't see the forest sometimes through the trees of SHC resolutions and dollar amounts in the history section. However, you have all your facts right. Archive references; the last four from the Hutchinson News need citation information added. 7-day hold. Ping me when done. - Copy changes were made, and I took care of the remaining reference cleanup/archival. Passing. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 01:17, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

Route description
[edit]- Join the first two sentences with a semicolon
- Join the two NHS sentences to reduce redundancy
- Commas around "on average"
- Add "the" before "small community of"
- Capitalize "Street" in "80th street"
- Add comma after Wolf Creek to balance the appositive
- Add a comma after "access westbound US-50" to join the two complete sentences
- Remove comma after "McNew Road"
- Add hyphen in "controlled-access highway"
- Comma after "Center Street"
History
[edit]- Add (SHC) by "State Highway Commission of Kansas" as this acronym is heavily used.
- Overuse of "In a resolution on..." sentence starters. Paragraph 2 suffers from this badly.
- "Mid April" should be "mid-April". This also happens with "mid February" later.
- "will be started" — change to past tense for a past event
- "It had supposed" — should be "It had been supposed"
- There are many monetary amounts and inflation calculations. Consider reducing their frequency; they may be excessive detail.
- Also too many sentences start with "By (year)", especially in the Hutchinson rerouting section.
- By 1975, the entire section of K-61 from US-50 north in Hutchinson was four-lanes. Remove hyphen in "four-lanes"
- The section of former K-61 from the new K-61 to US-81, and former section of US-81 from there north to US-56 became K-61 Spur. remove comma
- Very choppy: The city of McPherson complained about the removal of US-81 Alternate. Then in a resolution passed on March 29, 1967, it was approved to re-establish US-81 Alternate in McPherson. These sentences should be combined.
- Improvements section has several uses of "Fall (year)" which are against MOS:SEASONS.
- "p.m." and "pm" in the same sentence: pick one.
- "has been designated" should be "was designated".
