Julie mango,

The origin of Julie mango was from the island of Trinidad and not Jamaica!
Julie mango did not come from a seed,it came from a scion from a other
Caribbean variety,it was man made!can you just imagine a wonderful man
a propagator in a town in Trinidad, more than 85 years ago, a third wold
country doing something like this, how did this propagator know how to do
a graft as wonderful like this, and then it came time for a name, what name
would you choose for this wonderful mango?and he came up with the name of
his town,St.Julian mango, things did not end there for him,he did plant lots
of seeds from Julie, and he got one more great mango and that
mango is called graham,he was Mr.graham, this mango holds his
family name.the rest is just history.
The Julie mango was derived from a graft of the Rose and Long mangoes. the rose being the root stock. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.6.234.181 (talk) 00:19, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
