Layout improvements
[edit]A couple of things strike me about this article and it's layout:
- No see also box. Links could include the constituence, party, positions he held or notable debates.
- No picture. This needs sorting ASAP.
- Don't have external links (His own site, MI5 etc) in the text itself as the links can suffer from link rot. Give full citations instead.
- References need to be included in greater number and from more sources. The external links are good starting places. Another site I would reccomend is the BBC Democracy Live website, which contains videos of debates, or the BBC Election 2010 website.
Hope this can improve things somewhat. Rafmarham (talk) 23:03, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Requested move 23 May 2018
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: consensus to move the page and add a hatnote here, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 18:25, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
Julian Lewis (politician) → Julian Lewis – No need for the dab page. The other two subjects there can be dealt with through hatenotes.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 22:40, 23 May 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. Dreamy Jazz (talk) 17:21, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

- Support per WP:TWODABS. We do not need a disambiguation page, only hatnotes, when only two articles are involved. I was going to oppose on the basis that there are three, but there aren't. The third person mentioned at the DAB page is Julian Lewis Jones, who is not a Julian Lewis. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 15:40, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. Political figure with with no international renown. Not WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 00:48, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Oppose. No primary topic, no evidence that there is one. We'd also lose the ability to neatly refer enquirers to Julian Lewis Jones which the DAB does very neatly. Andrewa (talk) 16:21, 2 June 2018 (UTC)- Support (change of !vote) on balance owing to the page histories, see below. Andrewa (talk) 08:11, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom and WP:TWODABS. A clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Note this would be a reversion of an undiscussed move from 2014. Station1 (talk) 21:25, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- So it is: 17:11, 6 May 2014 Wiki CRUK John (talk | contribs | block) . . (47 bytes) (+47) . . (Wiki CRUK John moved page Julian Lewis to Julian Lewis (MP): to disam from the biologist) (well, not quite so simple, there's obviously been another move but that's the essential one). I missed that. Changing my !vote. Andrewa (talk) 08:11, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
