Contrarian research

[edit]
  • Controversy: this is just spam for the book discussed here

I don't regard the combination of the previous contributions (and mine) about Folkman's research as "spam" for a book. I came here to contribute to the Folkman article because his contrarian research methods resulted in a breakthrough - if not a paradigm shift.

I'm interested in groundbreaking scientific work, which as students of the History of science know, frequently goes against the grain. Pioneers in several scientific fields have had difficulty getting other scientists to look at their work. I thought Folkman would make an example of this. Deleting the section on the controversy is needless censorship. --Uncle Ed (talk) 12:00, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a "contratrian" perspective. it is well known that his theories about angiogenesis were at first met with skepticism. Jytdog (talk) 14:06, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
