Requested move 20 September 2024
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. General consensus to move as WP:NOTPT, and creating a disambiguation page that would list the musician and the football player. Also, moved Joshua Newton to Joshua Newton (writer), to begin disambiguation page lead as: "Joshua or Josh Newton may refer to". (closed by non-admin page mover) Safari ScribeEdits! Josh Newton → Josh Newton (musician) – not WP:PRIMARYTOPIC per page views Joeykai (talk) 00:07, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support the musician has 569 views but the American footballer has 979[[1]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:10, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and Crouch, Swale, paired with the creation of a Josh Newton disambiguation page that would list Josh Newton (musician), Josh Newton (American football) as well as Joshua Newton. Although it is not stated in their entries, both men named "Josh" are presumably named "Joshua" thus, if preferred by consensus, I would alternatively support adding to the nomination Joshua Newton → Joshua Newton (writer), with the dab page main title header appearing as Joshua Newton and Josh Newton redirecting to it. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 16:32, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support per nom and create dabpage at basename. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:42, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
