Cleanup needed
[edit]As now written, this is rather obviously a "puff piece," cut-and-pasted from an existing biography — sourced, I believe, from the company itself. Also, there is a dearth of links after the opening paragraph. Marc Shepherd 14:38, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've slimmed down the article to delete repetition and to remove much of the puffery. --Ssilvers 16:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm happy with the structure of the piece, now, and I think the fat has been removed. It could still use a little clean-up and wikification, and there are probably a few more facts, particularly about the new memoir and Volpe's relationships at the Met, that could be added by knowledgeable people. --Ssilvers 00:58, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Some judicious editing is now needed to take the info regarding his time at the Met out of the present tense, since he has retired. Markhh 17:55, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- I gave it a wee bit of a cleanup. Better than it was, though still incomplete. I have his memoir on hand if anyone wants me to look something up (best send me a message on my Talk page in case I'm not watching this page). Softlavender (talk) 07:29, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
