I'll pick this one up, will post review soon. Kosack (talk) 20:37, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Initial review
Lead
[edit]- Jon would be a common hypocorism of Jonathan which should be avoided, per WP:ALTNAME.
- I think it's the norm to avoid using terms such as currently for footballers clubs, per WP:PRECISELANG to avoid statements that can quickly become out of date.
- Link player-coach.
- Link League Two.
Early career
[edit]- "His first start for Sutton was a game against Basingstoke Town, and scored his first goal shortly after", should that be "and he scored his first goal..."?
Stevenage Borough
[edit]- "Nurse's first goal for the club came in sixth appearance", > in his sixth appearance.
- Link play-off final to 2005 Conference National play-off Final.
Dagenham & Redbridge
[edit]- Unlink Morecambe and Wembley Stadium, both linked in previous sections
- "in Dagenham's entertaining 4–3 loss away to Brighton & Hove Albion", entertaining comes across as opinion rather than fact and the source doesn't really seem to support it.
- Unlink Carlisle United, linked previously.
- Closing quote mark missing from the final sentence of the section.
Barnet
[edit]- Conference National is mentioned twice before this but is linked here, move the link up to the first mention.
- " At the end of the season, in June 2013, Nurse was placed on the transfer-list by Barnet.", needs a source.
- Link player-coach.
Met Police
[edit]- Are we sure his time at Loxwood was a loan? The only source used for it (ref 128) mentions him leaving Met Police more than once, so at the very least it sounds like it was a loan followed by a permanent spell. The infobox also states no appearances for Loxwood but the source would seem to suggest he definitely played for them on several occasions or were they not league apps?
International career
[edit]- "qualifying match in Dominica", should that be against Dominica?
- "He became the first ever full international for Dagenham & Redbridge.", what's the source for this?
- "Four days later, on 6 September, he played the whole match as Barbados lost 2–0 to Trinidad and Tobago at the Barbados National Stadium", if this was his last cap for Barbados I would try and mention it somewhere.
Personal life
[edit]- "with his grandparents and mum", mum seems a bit informal, change to mother perhaps?
References
[edit]- Ref 44 seems to have expired.
- Refs 71 and 127 need an author.
- Ref 134 seems to have gone like the other FIFA links.
That's all I've found for now, placed on hold. Kosack (talk) 18:30, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for reviewing this @Kosack: – apologies for the delayed response. Have made the suggested changes. You were right about the Loxwood move not being a loan one (I kept meaning to look into and change this if necessary). My gut feeling is Nurse was dual registered to play for both but there isn't any evidence to support that. In terms of his appearances and goals, I see he "played occasionally" for Loxwood and scored twice in one game against Hassocks, but we do not have any information as to whether this is a league game or not. We know for sure his spell at Loxwood was limited to just 2015. Would you recommend changing the infobox apps and goals to question marks for now? The only other thing was Ref 134 was working perfectly for me (FIFA link; Guyana vs Barbados), but let me know if I need to change or archive it. Cheers. SBFCEdit (talk) 10:48, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- @SBFCEdit: No need to apologise, we all have lives to lead. Ref 135 is the ref that needs archiving, my mistake there. I would leave Loxwood's stats blank in the infobox, I believe that is the preferred option for unknown statistics these days. After those two things, I think this one is good to go. Kosack (talk) 14:15, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Kosack: Ref 135 works fine my end too — https://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/round=258361/match=300172492/report.html . Although let me know if I've made an error here and I still need to archive this in some form. I have blanked the Loxwood statistics as suggested. Cheers. SBFCEdit (talk) 19:29, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- How bizarre, when I click ref 135 I get the FIFA.com page not found graphic. If it is working your end then I'm happy to AGF and accept that. I have no further concerns over this page believe it meets the GA criteria, promoting. Kosack (talk) 19:39, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
