Notability?
[edit]This man's furniture can be found in the Victorian and Albert Museum. Surely that is evidence of his notability? Additionaly, and not evidenced in the article, is that a table from Grimsthorpe in Lincolnshire is recorded. Other examples likely to be by McLean can be seen at Harewood House in Yorkshire and at Culzean Castle in Ayrshire.Shipsview (talk) 12:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Death and succession
[edit]Butchoff Antiques reports: After John’s death circa 1815, the company was run by his son William, until his death in 1825[1] . However, it was John McLean who died in 1825. Shipsview (talk) 10:43, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
