Title

The article's first sentence here goes right into "John Hinkley, Jr. attempted to assassinate..." as though that was the only thing he ever did. I feel that a more appropriate phrasing would be a brief intro, followed by "He is most famous for attempting to assassinate...". It is, as far as I know, his one and only 'claim to fame'. If he's done anything else particularly notable aside from attempting to assassinate Ronald Reagan, then, by all means, do what you propose and add it to the introduction. Otherwise, leave it alone. There's no sense in burying the lead: he is the attempted assassin of Reagan and he's famous for that and that alone. Whereabouts

It's unclear where Hinckley is today. The article says "Hinckley was confined at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, D.C.[9] Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) # 00137-177 … Hinckley was released from BOP custody on August 18, 1981..." Further down it says, “…(h)e was allowed to leave the hospital for supervised visits with his parents in 1999, and longer unsupervised releases in 2000…. Hinckley was later allowed supervised visits in 2004 and 2005.
